Key Features
  • Sony E Lens/APS-C Format
  • Renders Circular Fisheye on Full Frame
  • Renders Full-Frame Fisheye on APS-C
  • Aperture Range: f/2.0 to f/11
This dynamically wide 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens from TTArtisan is a lens that fills the image area of an ASP-C image sensor from corner to corner, but also acts as a circular fisheye when used on a full-frame format image sensor. When used on a full-frame image sensor camera, the circular fisheye image is heavily vignetted on all four corners. The included front cap has a unique design that crops slightly further into the image area to create a fully circular image with a cleaner perimeter. The lens design renders a 180° angle of view to produce a distinct visual appeal characterized by dramatic distortion and a creative depiction of space, which helps to make wide and innovative landscape and interior photos. The characteristic fisheye distortion and close 4.9" focus distance also lends itself to surreal and exaggerated portraiture and close-up photography.

TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2.0 Fisheye Overview

By B&H Photo's

The included rear-mount ND1000 neutral density filter adds a 10-stop increase to extend the exposure time for dramatically blurred moving elements in landscapes, and for astral photography.

NOTE: this lens is fully manual and does not support electronic communication with the camera body.

TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2.0 Fisheye Reviews

Well Built

Much, much nicer than I could have hoped for. Works great on my Nikon Z6 II. Very nice all metal mount and very clever lens cap. With the new mirrorless cameras an all manual lens is not at all hard to use. If you stop down the viewfinder automatically gets brighter to compensate. The mount is all metal but you have to pay attention when you take the lens off as it fits just a little different than a Nikon Lens.

Excellent Value

I bought this to play with on a recent vacation, and it exceeded all expectations. Sharpness is very good for the price, and build quality is top notch. Manual focus isn't much of a limitation at this focal length. The only reason this isn't getting five stars is the cap. It doesn't fit very tightly, and it wobbles a lot because the top/bottom shade petals are bigger than the side ones.

Nice Lens

This is a great lens for the price. I use it on my old a5100, which I keep in my bag as a backup when we travel. It's nice to pop it out when we come across something requiring a wide angle. In light room, i sometimes use the lens correction for the Rikonen 7.5mm lens, which works well if I don't want the fisheye effect.

A very nice lens!

I got this lens on March 11, 2022. A day or two later I took it for a spin around the park across the street. One thing I came to notice quickly is that the viewing angle is wide, very wide. If you point straight ahead your feet may be in the picture. But, that aside, I did get some very nice photos. In sum, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Very solidly built. Fun to use!

Excellent semi-fisheye

This is not a perfect lens but for the price it is just excellent. Even when compared to high-end offering. Optically, it is good with well controlled chromatic correction. Distortion is close to ideal fisheye (f-theta). Good sharpness. What to ask more? Maybe better quality control (on 2 copies had to have one returned, replacement was good). Note that the aperture ring is very narrow and there is a high risk to turn the focus ring as well without even realizing. I thought the lens had some focus shift. The lens cap needs a redesign since it keeps tilting badly. It seems possible to add some sort of inner ring to get it stable. Overall it is affordable, nicely done, optically sound and a fun lens.

Fabulous Fisheye Lens

The lens is very sharp actually tack sharp if you use it the correct way all aspects of the lens are great from build quality to operational quality . The only complaint I have about the build quality is the lens cap it falls off very easily from the slightest movement. A thin layer of clear silicone on the inside of the lens cap should correct the problem. Sharpness, color accuracy and focus ring and aperture are all perfect . Don't hesitate to buy one it's a fantastic price for a great photographic tool .

Yes this lens will fit, but it is intended for crop sensor/APS-C cameras not full frame. Because of that you will only get the crop sensor/APS-C framing and a reduced resolution (about 10mp).

Yes, it is a fish eye lens. On a full frame Nikon Z camera, it will be an actual round image and fisheye. And on a crop Nikon Z camera it will be fish eye but not round.

They have a 6-stop ND64, but they ended up not including it as part of the base package. Maybe they are planning to release a pack of filters later.
