Apple MagSafe Reviews
Using with an iPhone Xs and seems to work well
This is a stop gap before the new phones come out, but it's doing its job well I think?
Does its job
A tad bulky and quite pricey, but does its job well. I've seen complaints about the capacity compared to 3rd-party alternatives, but I personally wouldn't sacrifice slimness for extra capacity.
Works as expected
Nice and compact. Simple to use. This will come in useful when traveling where we use our phones extensively for navigation.
Works fine
It does what it's supposed to. if you are taking a lot of raw file pictures or shooting a lot of 4k movie footage or just walking around in a foreign city needing directions your gps is going to eat a not of power. This saved me more than once with an iPhone 12 ProMax in London which is a maze. My only complaint is that it charges slowly even with the recommended charger.
Functional but feels cheap
So, for me to give that headliner, the product especially from Apple is not the expectation setting item when it comes to feel. It feels nice to touch on the back side, however the piece where the magnet goes to the phone side, internally there must be some type of hollow space since when i attach or detach, it feels like it wants to come apart but I suspect the magnet is the one "rattling" slightly. Just seems slightly below Apple standard. The functionality is exactly as expected and described. Since the purchase was for function and not looks or "feel", I am using a nod keeping the product.
Long Lasting Battery Backup
With this you don't need to looking for outlets in the airport! A must have for travelers! Good Quality and long lasting!
Low Capacity But Decent MagSafe Wired Charger
I'm disappointed that the capacity specs are not listed. If you read the very small fine print on the device you will find it is only 1460 mah. Not enough to fully charge an iPhone once. It does support pass through charging. So if it is plugged in and charging itself, then you can charge your iphone simultaneously. The magnet strength is good if your phone does not have a case. With a case on the phone, then the magnet is too weak to handhold the phone & charger together without it separating from the phone during handling, like putting it in your pocket. It doesn't charge very quickly. I got ~15% extra charge on my iPhone 12 in 30 minutes. So, if you want to have a MagSafe charging pad that can occasionally be used to give your phone extra capacity while you're out during the day, then it might be a good choice for you. Otherwise, look for something else.
