Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 Di III VXD G2 Lens for S... Reviews
Significant improvement
Upgraded from prior version. I think it is noticeable sharper. Also has other features such as plug-in firmware update, lens focus button, etc.
Love it.
I am a hobbyist who primarily wants to photograph kids/family. Excellent, fast lens for most situations (nearly always f2.8).
Great Standard Zoom
I really wanted to like this lens and you know what? I do!. Great IQ, light weight, affordable. Highly recommend for you A7III shooters
IQ is great, Zoom range works well, price is awesome!
I had a few wide to tele lenses before this one, but f/2.8 has become a must for me and since I travel extensively, I didn't look favorably on the much heavier and/or significantly more expensive alternatives out there, the reviews were very positive, and I decided to go for it. I am not disappointed. This is an excellent lens. IQ is great and it is definitely more affordable the Sony's alternatives. I am very happy with this purchase.
Fantastic Lens
I have owned the Sigma version of this lens (24-70mm) and the Tamron G2 is on par with, or even exceeds the Sigma in terms of clarity, focusing and weight. It is significantly lighter without feeling cheaply made, and focusing is fast and accurate. I feel confident in this lens to perform how I need it to and I will be purchasing more Tamron lenses in the future!
It's okay.
But it lacks soul. I really love my Zeiss primes, and my Sony 70-200. This Tamron just seems to be missing something I can't quite identify.
Nice and Crisp
Focus is faster than the original version of this lens, which I also now . Much better build quality, much stiffer so the focus doesn't bump out so easy. Not sure about the open port but time will tell. Very quick and speedy delivery.
Excellent
