Does this lens has Macro capability? I want to replace 105mm 2.8 Macro. Will I miss too much?

The Tamron 70-180/2.8 only goes to 0.21x in auto focus. From 0.22x - 0.5x is only in manual focus mode and the image at 0.5x is blurry around the edges and practically unusable.

What is the distance between the base of the lens (i.e. mount point) and the far edge of the zoom ring (i.e. where the zoom markings are)? (asking so that I can determine whether the DJI Focus Motor can be used to control zoom remotely when mounted on a DJI Ronin RS2)

Tamron lists the length of the 35-150mm f/2-2.8 Di III VXD Lens for Sony E at 6.2 inches. They measure the length as the distance from the front tip of the lens to the lens mount face.
