    The 3rd party options never last as long, claim to fast charge & fail to deliver, and don't work in certain applications where a certified Apple cable is needed. Great product, it may be the expensive option but this is why!

    I always find myself having to use my phone while it's connected to power when I'm at my desk working, and the cord is always so short. I would have to bend or unplug it just to get a common task like texting or replying to an email. Unplugging it defeated the purpose of trying to charge it. Once I purchased this 6 foot cable I've been able to reach my phone without having to unplug and replug
