Updating their flagship action camera with a 23MP sensor and a new G2 chip design for enhanced functionality, the HERO10 Black from GoPro adds more speed, performance, touch control responsiveness, and higher frame rates, rounding out this full-featured action camera. This newest model provides high-detail 5.3K60, 4K120, and 2.7K240 video and 23MP photos with updated professional settings and practical functions from its predecessor, the HERO9.
The front display, which in the previous HERO model showed status information, is now larger at 1.4" and offers a live view, allowing you to frame shots for vlogging and similar uses. A new HyperSmooth 4.0 digital image stabilization with in-camera horizon leveling lets you produce even smoother, more stable videos without a gimbal. While still a full-on action camera, the HERO10 Black makes use of its immense feature set to also let you use it as a webcam and for 1080p Full HD live streaming, and it also automatically connect to the cloud, allowing your footage to be uploaded while you shoot when you have a GoPro subscription. It provides a comprehensive solution for all your action cam adventures and it maintains a robust design that's 33' waterproof without an external housing required. An optional dive housing can additionally be used to take the camera into much deeper waters.
While all these features already combine to offer a powerhouse system, the HERO10 Black is further complete with many other features carried over from previous versions of the camera, some of which have also been enhanced. The suite of Power Tools remains consistent, including HindSight, and when turned on, it allows you to record 30 seconds of video prior to your hitting the record button, ensuring you'll never miss that important unexpected moment at a sports game or other event. These include a large 2.3" rear touchscreen with touch zoom, raw photo, and audio capture, looping video, horizon leveling, data overlays, time-lapse and night-lapse, LiveBurst to capture 1.5 seconds before and after your shot, 8x slo-mo, a 100 Mb/s bit rate, three microphones with advanced wind noise reduction, Protune features with professional video and audio settings, 14 voice commands such as, "GoPro, take a photo", and much more.
The HERO10 Black has a built-in, flip-out 2-prong mount on the bottom, letting you easily attach it to a large series of mounting accessories available from GoPro for all your applications, whether extreme sports or live streaming to Facebook. Multiple optional add-on mods are offered, such as the Max Lens Mod, which allows you to add an ultrawide 155° angle of view to assist in HyperSmooth stabilization. With social media in mind, the camera also lets you switch into portrait mode to capture images in the format ideal for platforms such as Instagram. The battery for the HERO10 Black has the same, long-lasting 1720mAh capacity as the HERO9, allowing you to operate the camera for long periods on a single charge.

GoPro HERO10 BLACK Reviews
Small but as powerful as my DSLR
Just received it and watched a video on youtube to get startled. Now I'm off to have fun!
best gopro yet
the horizon leveling is unreal! good value for the kit.
Arrived quickly, everything works
I have a GoPro5 Black for motorsports recording and decided to upgrade. Tested the 10 @ 4K mounted in the car while street driving and it looks great. Will run it at the track this weekend.
Requires Issue Resolution Before Using
I have had this action camera for only a few days, and I have not taken any video with it yet. As a beginner to all of this, I have had to learn some lessons by stumbling around a little or a lot. After the fact, I learned I needed to manually update the camera with the latest firmware because attempting it using the phone app does not work. The camera overheated just sitting around learning how to use it, and after I did the manual firmware update, that problem resolved - that is not to say that it still does not get warm. Next - I did not order a sufficiently powerful micro SD card. I ended up getting a San Disk Extreme Plus UHS-3 rated card. That apparently has helped, also. It is rather warm as I write this review. I set the auto off at 15 minutes to see how it feels after just sitting around. I did not charge the battery in camera. I bought a dual battery charger, and that works just fine for charging the battery. I bought what seems like a boat load of accessories from screen protectors, cases, sleeves, cages and a remote. Also bought an external mic. I guess a cage is an absolute necessity if you are going to use an external mic with a GoPro mic adapter because the side door has to be removed to plug in the mic adapter which has a USB-C connector. I bought just one extra lens for the moment - a circular polarizer. Hopefully my Dell Inspiron 7000 Series laptop will not choke when I download the video content in 5K. So far, I have not found anything that says I cannot do that. Okay, as I conclude this review, the camera is definitely warm but not to the point of being untouchable, the battery power is down to 77% from 100%. I hope B&H will allow me to post a subsequent review once I start recording video and downloading it to my Windows laptop. I hope to make this camera work up to its expectations, but I think GoPro has some work to do on design, etc. Maybe they could design a new door where the battery and USB connection is so that you don't have to remove it to attach a mic adapter. A person should not need a special cage for that purpose. I am sure I will come up with some other critiques. I have a feeling I will be happy with the video in the end and get some enjoyment from this camera, but people who are new to this are going to have to spend time on the Internet to learn how to resolve their overheating problems related to improper firmware update techniques, etc. So that is where I will leave this review for now. Maybe a really great video camera, but especially for newbies, a long learning curve and stumbles and bumbles along the way. Do lots of internet research on every little thing you can think of.
GOOD DEAL.
can't go wrong here.
Our 1st GoPro
There have been many models of GoPro's before this one, so we decided to finally obtain one. The wife and I are retired, and we like to shoot videos and share on Facebook and YouTube. This will be great to use on our bike rides and kayak fishing, as well as other activities we enjoy.
Hero 10
I really appreciate the fact the Hero 10 is so easy to st up on the fly. I used it to do a Timelapse of a coming storm. During the storm I went to 1080! Video. It was the right choice because the lightning was sporadic. Nice piece of footage.
Great Item
Love the item, B&H is the best place to by this
