Is the build quality on this lens as good as other GF lenses?
No. To be clear this lens is a very good value. The optics are good and the build is good for a lens at this price point.
Fuji, however, is not selling a $2,300 lens for $999 or $500 with a kit. The optics and the build quality of the 35-70mm are not equal to the 32-64mm.

Yes you can use a filter holder on the FUJIFILM GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 WR Lens.
You just need to have a holder lens adapter or step up adapter that works with the lens's 62mm filter thread.

The FUJIFILM GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 WR Lens does not have an aperture ring on the lens.You control the aperture with the command dial on the camera.
