Teradek Spark 4K Overview

Transmit lossless HD video up to 500' to monitor video wirelessly using the Spark 4K Transmitter from Teradek. The Spark 4K transmitter can input up to 4K30 10-bit 4:2:2 HDR video via HDMI and transmit visually lossless video to up to two Spark 4K receivers with zero delay. The transmitter unit provides a powerful signal that can travel up to 500' line of sight and features a bright OLED display to view the unit status.

The Spark 4K transmitter features internal antennas, which makes it ultra portable, and it allows you to extend video to a display without any cabling. Built-in AES-128 encryption protects your video from prying eyes, while noise rejection keeps your video clean no matter how many devices are using the 5 GHz wireless spectrum.

The Teradek Launchpad app for iOS or Android that easily connects to the transmitter via Bluetooth, which provides channel-selection tools, monitoring, and remote configuration. There are 1/4"-20 and M3 mounting threads to mount your transmitter on a variety of cameras, cages, or rigs. It's powered using a separately available USB Type-C power source.

I have two systems of these Spark transmiter /reciever set, they work great, the only thing that I would like to change is the battery life...it is to short, to go through a complete streaming event. To fix this I purchased a power bank and I connect it to the usb port in the transmiter...it works very well.

Works as described so far with no noticeable lag between spark 4k transmitter/receiver camera and the other SDI camera.

If the battery is finished, does it works when powered with 5v 2a, or it needs more? What are the min and max power input values?

Important question.. For how long can the unit operate continuously before it overheats?

B&amp;H does not perform bench tests on products. According to manufacturer tests, the product has undergone testing that saw it running for over a week in standard operating conditions and no issues have been reported, including overheating.

Yes you can - As long as there are sufficient open channels, the Spark 4K or Ace or Bolt systems would not interfere with one another.

Aside from 4k, why would I choose this over the Teradek Ace 500?

The Teradek Spark 4K Transmitter/Receiver Set offers 4k and I think that would be the main reason that you would consider the kit over the Tredek Ace. Also the Spark 4k supports 10 bit and the ACE 500 only supports 8-bit color.

Is there a USB power bank you recommend that will charge the transmitter while in use?

I imagine any usb power adapter will work. I use a black magic cinema camera that's usually using the ac adapter so I plug the spark in to the usb-c port.

The Teradek Spark 4K Transmitter/Receiver Set can work with up to two receivers. It does not have the same App view that some Hollyland solutions offer.
