Built to print wide 2.4 x 3.9" images, the mocha gray INSTAX Link Wide Smartphone Printer from FUJIFILM lets you capture more of the moment and features a sleek and compact form factor and Bluetooth connectivity. Its downloadable app will allow users to customize, edit, and print photos in the JPEG, PNG, HEIF, and DNG formats. Available editing tools include cropping, filters, collages, and the ability to add text. FUJIFILM's INSTAX Link Wide Smartphone Printer is powered using an internal lithium-ion battery that can print up 100 images when fully charged. Recharging takes 80-120 minutes, depending on the temperature and remaining battery level. Included is an 11.8" USB cable, a stand, and a strap.

I am an owner of the original (vers 3) Square printer. So some comparisons will be made to that output. The interface linking to the printer is much better. I am on an iPad and find the phone format screen display annoying. I feel the color controls are not as good as the SP-3 software. But, if you want to make pictures to hand to family and friends, this is easier to carry, print from and quite often, the wide format film is less expensive than the square format. Forget about the black and white film, the black and white prints off the printer are really good. So if you are looking for a press and print for memories or share, with general consumer color and image expectations you have a winner. 4 to 5 stars. Now for anyone that wants control over dynamic range this is where the problems start for me. Highlights easily gone. Shadows plugged up details. And the controls in the software, basic at best. Wishful thinking, I know not designed for this but the original SP-3 hoes do a much better job at images. I have noticed similar issues with the Instax wide camera and the way it captures images. Fuji in the printer software needs more controls for this emulsion. As noted above the black and white is really good. And you can get good color images if you putz and burn through a few sheets. But if you were at a wedding spitting of images for guests. Or a family gathering you probably are very happy. If your looking for a traditional photographic representation to exhibit, let us say, you would be less pleased with the color The printer prints RGB, so any true black and white needs to be converted. TIFF files does not appear to be recognized by the software. Did not try CYMK, but I am assuming no. So depending on you planned use, might be a straight print or might involve a conversion. If you can get this with film as a bundle, it is the best plan. Takes about 10 sheets to get a feel for the printer interface and 10 sheets to tweak if you are looking for specific colour, and not the Fuji software interpretation of that color. I think that there are enough good things about this to hold onto and use for various projects that can live with the issues I have with the output. Again, color and detail / sharpness is always subjective, but for me this printer hits about a 3, based on the overall image quality

This is blue tooth enabled and when I want to do a photo and print it out asap I use this. It only takes a few moments about 30 seconds and boom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that we are no going back to the old school cameras that print photos! However, this one is far improved from the olden days. Print directly from your phone via Bluetooth. Prints extremely fast and the picture shows quickly too. No shaking of the photo needed! Great for fun pictures of kids, significant others, etc. I definitely recommend, it’s really cool.

This is so easy to use, and the photos come out exactly how I took them on my phone. The app gives you the option to put many different photos on one sheet which is amazing. It is easy to travel with and this would work great for parties as a Photo Booth option. It is honestly the best portable printer I have ever own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this Instax mini printer !! It’s compact which is good so you can take it anywhere without it taking up space. It’s wireless so there is no hassle with cords. It also charges really fast. My pictures came out really good quality. The app even has options to edit the colors of the photo and the quality. I’m definitely going to be using this printer a lot!

Is there software to enable printing from a desktop computer?

It's not possible to print directly from a desktop computer. However, it's possible to print from a tablet. You can connect the tablet to a desktop computer and drag files over to the tablet for opening and printing from the Instax app. I've done this with an inexpensive Android tablet connected to my Windows PC.

How many full charges will the built-in lithium battery take? It would be preferable to me if a rechargeable, removable battery was available so extra batteries would be on hand (rather than having to buy a new unit when charging reached its limit).

Can you print a square format pic and trim off the extra or does the app stretch/crop or force a rectangular format?

One should not cut Instax Film from the FUJIFILM INSTAX Link Wide Smartphone Printer (Mocha Gray). There are chemicals in the Instax Film and cutting will cause deterioration to the print. So, while you can print square, I would not cut off the excess.

The xh2s has the instax printer option but I can't get it to connect. Is there a special password other than 1111 or does it not work like it does with xs10?

You cannot print directly from the camera to this printer. Only the X-S10 can print directly. To print directly you'll need the SP-1, SP-2 or SP-3 (older models) printer.
