Offering a natural perspective along with a fast maximum aperture, the XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR from FUJIFILM is a 50mm-equivalent lens characterized by its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture. This design benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field for isolating subject matter and using selective focus techniques. The optical design employs two aspherical elements, which reduces distortion and spherical aberrations in order to achieve higher sharpness and accurate rendering. Three ED elements are also featured, which reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy. This ensures unmatched resolution and fresh, vibrant color.

FUJIFILM XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR Reviews
Bigger than I anticipated but well worth it
No complaints here other than I wish Fujifilm could've defied physics and made it smaller but with the same performance. Focus is fast and silent, feels very tough / don't need to baby it, and both the aperture ring and focus ring feel great.
Such a great lens
I keep this on my XT5 a majority of the time. Great for quick portrait-like shots or just shooting on the go. One of my all-time favorite lens-camera combos.
Excellent lens
Fuji really nailed it with this lens. Purchased it during a discount period where it was $100 of the retail price, well worth the money. Coming from the f2 version this lens beats in in every aspect except size, which I was concerned about but it's not too bad. Surprisingly it doesn't block the OVF on my X-pro 2. Aperture and focus ring feel perfectly dampened and the rendering and color are top notch.
It's everything it's supposed to be.
I disagree that there's such a thing as 'too much sharpness' and that it can mean 'lacks character' especially when we all rely on post production to add the 'feel' we want. This lens is superb.
My new favorite lens
Sharp, beautiful images at a versatile, natural focal length. This is one of the best Fuji lenses I've used, and is easily my personal favorite. Not too large, nor very heavy, this is easy to carry and yields stunning results.
Beyond Excellent
I bought this lens for my XT-5 b/c it was on the list to be able to use the full 40MP sensor. I also have the Sigma 18-50 2.8 which I put on only when I cannot get back far enough like inside our condo. This 33mm lens might as well be permanently fixed to my XT-5. It is absolutely AMAZING. It can bring in a massive amount of light at 1.4 and the bokeh is absolutely stunning. Low light photography is a breeze with this thing. I have not shot it outdoors yet b/c I just got it in December and it's still cold and gloomy here in the Chicago area. As soon as it warms up and we start getting some sunny days, I will be putting this to work outdoors and I'm sure it will awe me all over again.
Perfect in Every Way!
I'd recently purchased this to replace the fuji 35mm 1.4 and I'm very glad I did. The weather resistance was the main factor behind this decision, but there are a lot of benefits to this lens to justify the additional cost. The AR is very fast, sharp and dead silent. The image quality is great with beautiful bokeh. It's still relatively compact. I also appreciate an actual lens cap as opposed to the rubber hood cap that the 35 1.4 has. I slightly prefer this lens over the 56mm 1.2, but not by much.
It's like buttah!
This is a gorgeous lens! I'm normally a zoom guy because they are so versatile, but this normal perspective fits nicely in my bag right between the XF10-24 and the XF55-200. It's great in low light with the f/1.4, and its WR is my only weather proof option in the rain. Not only is the depth of field outstanding, it is the only one of Fuji's XF lenses that had never needed a firmware update to fix issues...it's perfect out of the box.
