Offering a natural perspective along with a fast maximum aperture, the XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR from FUJIFILM is a 50mm-equivalent lens characterized by its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture. This design benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and also affords greater control over depth of field for isolating subject matter and using selective focus techniques. The optical design employs two aspherical elements, which reduces distortion and spherical aberrations in order to achieve higher sharpness and accurate rendering. Three ED elements are also featured, which reduce flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color accuracy. This ensures unmatched resolution and fresh, vibrant color.

FUJIFILM XF 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR Reviews
Love it!
I have and shoot the 35mm f2 version for a number of years. Its my go to focal length. Now this 33 has completely replaced it. Yes, a little bigger/heavier but I find it handles better in my hands. I love the creative options f1.4 gives me and find the pics just have more pop than my 35 f2. Sunstar's are great also with typical excellent build. I love it and now will get the 23mm 1.4 II to replace my f2... if the benefits are the same, im in.
Fabulous lens.
Outstanding autofocus, image quality and color. Love this lens.
Fujinon lens 33mm F1.4
I bought this lens a week ago. I'm super impressed by this lens. The lens is quick, bokeh is great, and performance in low-light is outstanding. The build and image quality are fantastic. Images are contrast with pleasing colors and no aberration. Autofocus in the XT30 has been near instant. This is a spectacular lens to add to your lens collection.
Gorgeous Lens - Super Crisp with Delicious Bokeh
I'm a recent Fujifilm convert and decided to purchase the 33mm to accompany my 16mm f/1.4 on my X-T4. There was a struggle deciding between this and the beloved 35mm, but ultimately decided to go with the 33mm focal length (to achieve the truest 50mm distance and to take advantage of advances in tech). This is quickly becoming my all-time favorite combo. Beautifully sharp but not overly-clinical, and the bokeh is beautiful.
Improved in every way over the older XF 35mm 1.4
Pros: Tact-sharp across the frame, greater contrast, normal 50mm-equivelant focal length, silent focus motor, weather sealing, gorgeous metal construction Cons: Longer in dimension compared to older XF 35mm 1.4, Expensive Camera body: X-E3 Ever since jumping into the X-series system in 2013, my primary lens for almost everything has been the venerable XF 35mm 1.4. I love the normal focal length of a 50mm-equivelant lens for shooting street photography and portraits and so it never seemed to leave my Fujifilm camera body. It was a stellar lens but it had it's faults, namely a noisy autofocus, soft edges at wide-open and slightly less sharpness in the center than I'd prefer. It was also a bit more telephoto than the 50mm-equivelant lens it was designed to emulate. In-spite of these, I adored that lens until I heard Fujifilm was producing this new XF 1.4 at 33mm. As soon as I read the reviews, I was sold! This lens outperforms the XF 35mm 1.4 in pretty much every way. Even at full-open, it is tact-sharp across the frame and the contrast rendering is improved. The focus motor is very quiet however it doesn't seem to be any faster at locking a target than the XF 35mm 1.4. The all-metal construction is beautiful to hold and touch, very rugged design and premium which is what I've come to expect from Fujifilm. It is longer than the XF 35 and a bit more heavy but not terribly so. The drastically improved optical performance offsets this minor gripe. The price is higher but with all the improvements, it was worth the extra money. Overall, I am very happy with this lens.
love this lens
Wonderful sharpness. Love the bokeh at f1.4 and the focal length.
Very nice
A very nice 50mm equivalent lens. Sharp and fast to focus.
My fave
I've had quite a number of Fuji lenses.... This is my new favorite walk-around-town lens. Sharp, fast, bright. Retains a lot of the OG character from older premium lenses unlike some of the newer compact WR variants.
