Distinguished by its fast design, the XF 23mm f/1.4 R LM WR from FUJIFILM is a general wide-angle prime offering a 35mm equivalent focal length. Ideally suited to discerning street, wedding, editorial, and documentary photographers, the lens's bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting conditions and enables greater control over depth of field for isolating subject matter. The optical design incorporates two aspherical elements, which helps to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations, and three ED elements have also been applied to produce a superior image with high contrast and sharpness. Additionally, a rounded nine-blade diaphragm is featured, and contributes a smooth bokeh quality.

FUJIFILM XF 23mm f/1.4 LM WR Reviews
Awesome lens
Great quality, great optics.
Perfect Everyday Lens
This lens is so perfect to keep your camera all of the time. So sharp, quiet and a great focal length.
Wonderful Lens
I'm a hobbyist who occasionally does portraits on the side. This has quickly become one of my favorites for the X-T4. I think fans of the 33mm f 1.4 will equally like this focal length. Linear motor makes it quick and quiet enough too.
Legendary
This lens is legendary. Sharp and contrasty wide open at f/1.4, improves through f/2-2/8 or so and still great at f/11. This is probably the best my 26mp sensor can look - in good light this lens is stunning and sharp. Great bokeh (very slight, typically unimportant onion ringing, however, when you PEEP). Close focusing - I love lenses that focus close and get good magnification like this one. It is a quasi macro type experience that makes it more flexible. Plus, I don't have to worry I'll put it into a hunting/focusing fit because a subject moved within the MFD. AF is fast and accurate, linear motor is nearly silent. I think I'm getting higher hit rates and good focusing speed relative to other Fuji lenses, even in crappier light. That alone makes this lens a go-to compared to others I own. Lens is pretty small and light, but feels solid in hand - no issues bumping rings, stores well, well fitting lens hood. Great quality feel overall. Solid clicks from the aperture ring, manual focus ring is well damped (not too slow, or too fast). Aperture ring seems pointless however - it only locks the camera into auto. The only con is the high price - $900 is a lot to swallow for what this is, ultimately. Used at around $700 this lens is a better value. Overall, however, this lens is practically a must-buy, and certainly the best 23mm in the Fuji system at the moment.
Tack Sharp
Wonderful lens for my arsenal of glass.
Sharp and lovely
Love how sharp it is. Photos pop a bit more than my tamron and the bokeh is really beautiful. Fast focusing, but the X-H2S I pair it with some times still hunts. Still not as fast as my R6 with the 24-105mm but it definitely produces more stylish photos.
Great lens
Using it with my XT-5 and getting lovely sharp pictures. Very happy with this lens.
What Are You Waiting For....?
A perfect compliment to my XF33mm lens both of which I use for car photography. It's both sharp and quick, solid build and keeps you smiling through every click!
