Gigabyte FO48U Reviews
The Best Value For Money
Dollar for dollar, yes even at this high of a price point, this is the single best OLED monitor and competes with any 48" TV on the market at ANY price point. This is not for everyone and it is large. But for the people that want a higher refresh rate and 4K, there really is not competition. Check out rtings if you don't believe some random anonymous person on the internet.
Finest monitor I've ever had
Very pleased the size, resolution, and vibrancy of this monitor. Arguably the best big monitors you can buy today. ADVICE: Running this monitor at 4k/120 Hz/10 bpc using DisplayPort 1.4 or HDMI 2.0 results in chroma compression which looks horrific, e.g., on small black-on-white text. I was about to send the monitor back for that reason when I switched back to 4k/60 Hz/10 bpc which restored everything to what I had expected it to be. Fortunately 4k/60 Hz is just fine for desktop work and the chroma compression at 120 Hz is barely visible, e.g., in video games. 4k/120 Hz/10 bpc may avoid chroma compression over HDMI 2.1, but I have not yet tested that.
100 percent worth it
No complaints, this monitor has everything and more. Worth every dollar. PS5 owner. Just make sure if you want to update crosshair or firmware it's only windows based OS, no MAC or Linux.
Great so far!
Great panel! Decided to go with this over the LG 48 because it has those sweet monitor-centric features. It's gorgeous. Went from a 24 1080 TN lcd panel to this and I'm blown away. Looks good. Brights are bright, darks are invisible. I've got it about two feet from my face so it's total visual immersion. I'm afraid Ive spoiled myself now because I'm enjoying looking at this thing so much.
