Bright f/2.8 maximum aperture is well-suited to working in low and difficult lighting conditions.
Rectilinear design renders subjects with minimal distortion in order to suit landscape and architectural applications.
Three extra-low dispersion elements reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing for increased clarity and color neutrality. Two aspherical elements are also featured to limit spherical aberrations for improved sharpness.
A Frog Eye Coating has been applied to repel both dust and moisture for added protection when working in inclement conditions.
Manual focus design offers a minimum focusing distance of 4.7".
Built-in petal-shaped lens hood shields the lens from stray light to reduce flare and ghosting and also protects the front elements from accidental impacts.

Will MFT plus MFT-SonyE adapter gives an 18mm or 13.5mm equivalent lens coverage?
Asked by: Allen
According to our data, the Sony E mount version of the Laowa 9mm f/2.8 Zero-D Lens, would have a 13.5mm equivalent focal length on an APSC sensor camera. An adapter may work for the MFT lens to work on a Sony E-mount APSC camera, but it may also vignette as the MFT version is intended for MFT sensors.

Could you please suggest any 49mm filter for this lens that gives minimal vignetting at F2.8? (For example, will B+W XS-Pro filter work?)
Asked by: Shu-Lun
Mostly any slim/thin filter should work. The B+W XS Pro would be ideal.

I see there are comments about vignetting. does that mean you guys would NOT suggest it down to 2.8? I would be buying it specifically for low-light and 2.8 use. Thoughts?
Asked by: Therese
Most would suggest you don't buy this lens at all. It is not worth the hassle and quality.
