What's to like: the focus and aperture rings move easily and smoothly. The fast aperture and magnification ratio are great. The image quality is very good.
The only things that take away from a five star rating are the weight and size. When mounted on a compact camera, like the Z50, it's out of balance and a little awkward.

If this lens were more expensive I probably would have rated it at 3 stars, however at the current price it is an OK lens to dabble into macro photography. My experience is mostly based on the similar Laowa 60mm macro, which I sold earlier (and now I miss...)
What's good:
- Solid construction
- Reasonable size and weight
- Very reasonably priced
What's not so good:
- (Major) The extremely limited focus throw (barely 180 degrees) makes it very hard to nail focus given the very narrow DOF
- Image is never really tack sharp, even when stopped down
- Clickless aperture ring (might be a pro for some)
- Poor lens cap design
This is not a bad lens especially for the price, however those who buy it should be aware of some of its limitations.
If one can afford it, I'd recommend getting the Laowa.
Great, Sharp and Cheap

I bought this lens to dive into macro photography, but also for product photography. I was a little overzealous with the focal length, you can't get much more than a quarter into frame on the 1:1 focusing.
The focus is great on this, slow, deliberate and smooth. It has just the right amount of tension in it to nail the focus without going back and forth. However, it's a pretty shallow depth of field. Even on F/11, your focal depth is short.
Aperature ring is de-clicked, which for macro or product photography I think is keen. You can dial in exactly how much you want or anything in between. It helps when trying to balance out all your other settings.
Overall this is an awesome little lens for it's price. Is there slight chromatic aberration, yes. Is there better lenses out there, yes. Are there sharper macro lenses, again yes. However you're looking at this lens and if you are, you aren't looking at those very expensive lenses.

Got the Z-mount type of this lens for the Z50. Great lens overall with a few shortcomings, but for the price, you can't go wrong, especially if delving into macro for the first time. The image quality is really good, no issues that I could find. I was able to get the 1x magnification at 17.5 cm as promised, adding extension tubes of a total of 29 mm extension brought the image to roughly 2x magnification at about the same focus distance as 1x, which makes this much more versatile for Macro. The build quality is really nice, all metal and sturdy, a bit heavier than you'd expect from such a small lens. The mount has the largest diameter, with the lens becoming narrow very quickly, a big plus. The lens itself is small, which is great, only becomes longer if you decide to use extension tubes.
There are a few things that I did not like too much. Firstly, the aperture ring not being stepped, continuous instead, I found to be a bit annoying, as it leads to sometimes accidentally changing aperture or not really knowing what aperture you're at until you check up on it. The focus ring is very big, takes up a large portion of the lens, would not be an issue if the focus felt more defined, but right now it feels like it slips a bit, and it is easy to change by trying to change something like the aperture or simply holding the lens. Finally, the lens cap is not bad for now, but it is made of metal, it is heavy and I could see it losing grip after a while, but replacement caps should be easy to come by. Finally, this might not be as much as a con for most people, the focus positions between 1 meter and infinity are close to each other, and while this lens takes great non-macro shots (portraits for example), it is very easy to not be properly focused, which is made worse by the focus ring.
The 60 mm focal length is a great for most macro situations. You need a steady hand and high shutter speed to get good pictures at this focal length.

You do realize that the lens has a 49mm filter thread for filters so if you actually lost the lens cap you could buy a 49mm lens cap for about $2 and pop it straight on.

Works great for a manual lens on my Fujifilm X-S10. Was surprised when camera body was able to give accurate exposure in auto!!!! Don't need to carry around a light meter with this combo!mThis lens is light but well made. Great glass gives sharp images!
