Fly longer when on location with the Mavic 3 Fly More Combo from DJI. The combo adds additional accessories, such as extra batteries, propellers, a charging hub, and more, all geared to keep you in the air for as long as possible with your Mavic 3, DJI's flagship drone that's a leap forward in professional-quality aerial imaging. The drone offers a dual-camera setup in the 3-axis gimbal. A 20MP wide-angle camera with 4/3" CMOS from legendary camera maker Hasselblad and a 12MP telephoto with 1/2" CMOS, 4K video, and 28x hybrid zoom. You can utilize the telephoto in Explore Mode to scout locations or in conjunction with the wide-angle Hasselblad, transitioning between the two for truly dynamic, cinematic results.

The video quality of the wide-angle Hasselblad on the Mavic 3 offers up to 5.1K resolution and DCI 4K at 120 fps. The 12.8 stops of dynamic range and an adjustable aperture from f/2.8 to f/11 open up the drone's ability to handle nearly any lighting condition and deliver low-light footage with less noise. Add in vision sensor-based VDAF focusing and an 84° FOV, and you can capture sweeping, atmospheric shots or track and focus on subjects with ease. To complete the Mavic 3's powerful imaging abilities, 10-bit D-Log Color Profile and Hasselblad's NCS (Natural Color Solution) are employed for natural and accurate color reproduction.

To support these exceptional imaging capabilities and the pilots who will capture them, DJI packed the Mavic 3 with technologies to get the most out of each shoot. Multiple features allow you to create flight paths, auto-track subjects, and perform complex aerial maneuvers with a tap. While doing all of this, an omnidirectional obstacle sensing system and APAS 5.0 work to ensure a collision-free flight. Add in up to 46 minutes of flight time, a transmission range of up to 9.3 miles, and a folding design, and you have a powerful platform that's ideal for everything from tech-obsessed amateur photographers to professional production houses.

Hasselblad Natural Color Solution
The result of Hasselblad's many decades of experience, the HNCS starts from the pixel level of the sensor. Every pixel is calibrated with RGB color data being passed through an image processing algorithm and color processing mode while filming. The result is content containing precise and natural color reproduction, all without the need for color presets.
Advanced RTH
A great day in the air filming your latest passion project is only complete when the Mavic 3 comes back safe and sound. DJI's Advanced RTH (Return to Home) feature is designed to ensure that happens on every flight. Returning to its starting point can be triggered by you or if there is a signal loss. On its way back, the Mavic 3 plots the optimal route home, avoiding obstacles along the way.
Live View
When piloting with the included RC-N1 remote and your compatible smartphone, the Mavic 3 can live stream the camera's view back to you at up to 1080p60 resolution. This not only lets you proof footage at Full HD quality, but it also assists with more responsive control of the drone.
Extreme Precision Positioning
The Mavic 3 is engineered to hold its position in the air extremely steadily, benefiting pilots trying to take clean long-exposure or time-lapse shots.

Excellent Choice

I was one of the folks who bought the first generation of drones back in 2012. There were exceptionally difficult to fly and 90% of your time was spent trying not to crash. Nothing was automated and all aspects of flying had to be controlled by the pilot. Fast forward to 2022 when I wanted to upgrade and improve. I chose the DJI Mavic 3 for several reasons including the degree of automation and advancement of the flight control software. I was not disappointed. Although there was a degree of learning for an old guy like me, it was very worthwhile.

Strong capable room for improvement

The Mavic 3 series is an awesome evolution from the Mavic 2 Pro. Yes, there is certainly a price evolution as well. DJI has helped by the introduction of the Classic version. The flight performance of the Mavic 3 series is significant. The simplification, reorganization, control of Intelligent Flight Modes is well done. Particularly the Active Track 5. Reading and study of the 81 page User's Manual is a MUST. This is a complex and capable aircraft. The improved Hasselbad camera is also impressive. The larger main sensor and the fixed focal length Zoom/Explorer second camera provide welcome image and video capture creativity. The camera system is still biased towards Video. As primarily a still photographer would like the addition of RAW/DNG to the Zoom functions. The user has to realize the the Zoom is DIGITAL ZOOM ONLY. Realize that the zoom is a cropping function. The large 20Mp sensor does allow for moderate zoom with only slight pixalization. Allowing for RAW/DNG would will still allow for post edit flexibility limited by the restriction to JPEG. Not withstanding some improvement consideration this is a great upgrade option to be seriously evaluated by prior generation owners.

Outstanding Drone

The camera functions are outstanding. The battery life is outstanding. The obstacle avoidance is outstanding. I'm the range is much better than I expected and I'm able to get very good video transmission range. At one point I flew to far from "home" and the RTH function executed flawlessly. I fly mostly over water and while bodies of water can cause connection issues for some drones, the Mavic 3 performs without fault.

Great photos and video...but

The video and photos are awesome...BUT...from day one I've had issues with connectivity. Whether in an urban or rural area the drone and controller loose connection. It has always been intermittent and fairly short lived. I've looked on line and the only solution seems to be to return it to DJI for a replacement. The second issue is getting LAANC approval. Since it doesn't connect directly to a phone or iPad I have not been able to get LAANC approval once I'm in the field. I'm tempted to get the non pro version of the RC so that I can use my phone or iPad to connect

Beware...your Mavic 3 may turn into a useless brick!

I hate this drone...and I love it. There is a little-known feature with DJI's newer drones that automatically logs you out of your DJI account after a specified amount of time and renders the drone useless. Yesterday when I was on a remote job site, I fired up the drone only to have the app inform me that I was logged out of my account and was required to log back in. I was far from cellular access. There is nothing about this practice in any of the descriptions of the product or in the manuals. But after posting the experience in DJIForum, I was informed by a DJI employee that the app automatically logs you out after 3 months for security reasons. I bought the drone and RC Pro Remote less than 3 months ago. I simply do not understand the reason behind the requirement to be logged into a DJI account to fly the drone. The drone had just been used on a job a few days prior and there was absolutely no warning about the impending auto-logout. Without being logged in, flight was limited to a max of 30 meters elevation and 50 meters distance. I spent 30 minutes trying, in vain, to figure out a work-around. Consequently, I lost the best lighting on a 2000-foot cliff behind the property I was hired to shoot. Aside from yesterday's costly disaster, the drone flies great, takes great photos and video, and has proved very useful.

If you are flying within the United States, you cannot fly higher than 400 ft. Above Ground Level (AGL). For any type of drone. If you are flying commercially, You can see the Federal Aviation Administration CFR-2021 Title14 Vol 2 Part 107 regulations for all applicable laws. If you are flying as a hobbyist, you'll need to pass the The Recreational UAS Safety Test or TRUST which is free and per the FAA you can't fail. Here is a good starting page for additional questions: https://www.faa.gov/uas/recreational_fliers/
