Won't connect to Sidus Link

I guess I have a defective unit. When I 'bluetooth reset' it doesn't show up in the app. I have 2 of these lights. One works fine and the other won't do bluetooth (although the rest of the light controls work). Bummer.

Great Value

Purchased last week and have used it for one shoot and a few zoom calls. Love how easy it is to use and how well it works with the app. Also love how small it is, but it still packs a punch. Thinking about purchasing another one!

Crazy amount of power at a great price

I've been waiting for something in-between the Aputure MCs (which I have two of) and the P300c Nova (which I've also worked with a fair amount). They are killing it with the Amaran line so far. The marketing is not lying when they say this thing is at least half the power of the Nova (which I often have to use at less than 60% anyway). In the photos I attached, the light is running at 50% power from about 4ft away (with the softbox and grid attached). From what I can see so far, this thing does everything the MCs & Nova do via the Siduslink app (color picker, programmed cues, etc) while putting out enough power where I can still use it effectively with the included softbox and grid attached. I can even bounce this off a wall or ceiling with the softbox attached and still paint a small room in color. The only nitpicks I've found so far are that with the weight of the unit, I wish it was designed in a way where I could get a better grip on it while handling it. I worry it may slip out of my hands one day. I also wish the included carry case could fit the included softbox and grid. It is important to note that the AC adaptor only charges attached NP-F batteries if you're operating the light at less than 60% intensity. Great buy overall if you're looking to upgrade from something entry level like Neewer panels, but don't want to spend over $1000. Pro features at an accessible price point.

Good light, bad mounting

By Ka Lun

The light is good, very powerful for its price while keeping a small size. It's as powerful as the Nanlite Mixpanel 60 with much smaller size and half the price. Also there is no grip, so on location if you want to handheld the light, it can easily slip off from your hand. The tilt mount is also very badly built, if you put an umbrella or soft box and try to tilt down the light the light can drop. I think it can be easily solved by making a yoke that mount on the 1/4 screw on both side as an optional accessory. In that case it can act as a grip and also much more secure when you tilt down the light.

Good quality light, bad mounting that Aputure could fix

The light is bright and good quality. The app works well. It's small, and packs easily into the provided case. The issue is that the only mounting points are single 1/4 20 screw threads without locator pins or any other anti-swivel feature. The lights too easily twist around when the light is moved or adjusted. Aputure could fix this issue as they have with most of their other lights. By offering a metal yoke with standard receiver that attaches to the existing 1/4 20 side threads of the light. If this came with a standard metal yoke, would give it five stars.

Great lights

These are great lights, powerful. I replaced some larger 1000 Led lights with these with lots of benefits: they're smaller; put out more light; better color temperature controls; more features; and collapsible and attachable softbox with a grid.

Dope travel lights!!!

Was looking for a more travel friendly lights and saw these lights as was like I have to get them. Also great to add my umbrellas for extra diffusion. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because the egg crate cannot fit within the travel bag.

Does this come with one carrying case that fits all three lights (and accessories)? Or is it simply three of the single light kits (which would be three separate carrying cases: one for each light)?

The included case is only large enough to hold a single light and its power adapter. It is not large enough to hold the included softbox or other accessories.
