We are just finishing up our 3 week trip in Italy and used my Canon R50 with this lens. Our trip over a year ago to Italy was with the R50 and the kit lenses. What a nice step up from the kit lens this Sigma is. Much more versatile with light control and focus as quick as the kit. Italy is great place photos, whether street, architecture or people. It is especially better at night than the kit lens! Had none of the problems other reviewers noted like the lens hood coming loose. Now I still shoot like a tourist does , but get better cleaner results. Time for some lessons!

Looking for opinions on AF performance with either the Lumix S5II or S5IIx? I'm looking to fully utilize PD AF with this lens.
The Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Leica L is unsuitable for the Panasonic Lumix S5 IIX and S5 II Mirrorless Cameras. The lens is for cropped sensor cameras; both cameras have a full-frame sensor.
