Flexibility and control are key to the design of the amaran COB 60d Daylight LED Monolight. The sturdily constructed fixture offers a solid 5600K color temperature to deal with any daylight-dominated scene. Its impressive CRI rating of 96 is your assurance of a high degree of accuracy in color reproduction. The panel is dimmable from 0 to 100% without flicker or color shift. Besides user-programmable presets, the light has eight special effects including paparazzi, fireworks, lightning, faulty bulb, TV, pulse, strobe, and explosion. All of these adjustments can be made locally on the unit or wirelessly from a distance with your smartphone and the Sidus Link app. The light is ready for worldwide use thanks to its 100 to 240 VAC power supply, but it can also run on NP-F or D-tap batteries when AC power is unavailable.

Bright and Light
Powerful little light that I mostly use as a rim. Barn doors might make a nice addition to your setup but this does the job and make sure not to throw away the little diffusion package. I almost thought it was a silica packet. Love the NPF battery sled.
Light on a budget
A great starter light for those of us who are on a budget. And since it's not the most powerful light out there, it's especially great for product photography.
Small. Bright.
Upgraded from the Godox SL60W to this and I'm pleased so far. Two NP-F950 Batteries only last for about 8 minutes at 70% brightness (your mileage may vary). Note that it doesn't fully deplete the batteries in that time. My guess is that that's as much power draw it can sustain for that long.

Amazing output
I've been working on some low budget documentaries. After ordering this light, I'm amazed at what you can accomplish with such a small footprint. I plan on adding another one for more options. For the budget and new project, this was worth the money.

This amaran COB 60d Daylight LED Monolight is a good light. I wish it was a little smaller, thou is pretty small and I hope amaran will change their battery mount. Maybe they could change the battery mount from the right side to the back of the light providing they'll move everything from the back to where is the battery mount now. Although fan noise is low it can be even quieter. In all fairness I couldn't notice fan noise being picked up by the lav mic. If someone from amaran reads this hopefully they'll implement these changes. It's possible to make this good cob light , a great one. All in all I have three of them and they serve my needs, they're good. Hope this helps.
Little Box, Big Light
Nearly perfect package. I'd put this in the 4.5 territory. One thing that really should've come with this bundle is the D-Tap to 5.5mm DC barrel connector. The light has a v-mount on the side for your battery, but lacks a connector out of the box. Still, really excellent product. Pros: Powerful, small light source Great controls despite lack of knobs/buttons Bluetooth connectivity Comes with power adapter Comes with carrying case Comes with mounting pin/tilting mount Scale/weight allows for variety of mounting options Cons: Build quality is appropriate for the price, but isn't confidence inspiring Supplied reflector dish is mediocre at best Supplied carrying case... Is fine for transport Would have rather received d-tap connector over NP-F battery plate Truly, it's hard to improve upon a product of this quality in this price range. I'd have happily paid around $150 for just the spectacular, portable light. The bundle itself is excellent for working professionals or those starting to work on solo content creation. It is strong enough to be a key light, useful both indoors and outdoors, comes with (nearly) everything you need to get started, and packs incredibly well. The number of applications this can be used in is incredible. I love this space that's opening up within powerful-portable lighting, and cannot wait to see what Aputure/Amaran bring out next.
