Despite being cheap, this lens is performing above its price point. It’s decently sharp, even wide open. Great image quality and very sturdy built. I’m definitely keeping this one!

This lens was such a great price, that it was worth the risk just to check it out. I'm very pleased with the result. I'm not a pixel peeper, nor is photography my main stay, so I dont pretend to be as critical as some. Most of my work is video, and I do high end concert and studio performance projects. This lens will fit into my arsenal quite well for my A6400 stationary crop frame B cams. Perfect for close up work when I need a shallow depth of field. Honestly, for this price, I initially thought it was manual focus, but I'm extremely please with the auto focus functionality. Quiet and fast enough for my needs. Overall this lens was a steal.

Anyway, I was wondering if the other person wanted to know if the Tokina (electric contact points on the lens mount) communicates with the camera internals on the Fuji. Fuji is noted for holding lens communication protocols close to the vest. Has that changed?

Would this 33mm Tokina lens automatically activate the correct OVF frame line on a Fuji X-Pro1?
The Tokina atx-m 23mm f/1.4 Lens for FUJIFILM X will not communicate the focal length to the X-Pro1 camera. You would need to set the focal length manually in the camera in order to have frame lines in the OVF.
