Can you thread this into a 1/4-20" without using ...

Can you thread this into a 1/4-20" without using the arri locator pin? Someone mentioned the arri pins can scratch a device.

The iFootage Spider Crab Quick Release Adapter is only deigned to be used with the iFootage Spider Crab Vehicle Camera Mount System, the pins can not be removed.

Does this conform to the standard Arri locating pin 3/8th screw mount?

Yes. The iFootage SR-QRA Spider Crab Quick Release Adapter features a 3/8" spring-loaded screw with ARRI locating pins to prevent twisting, push down to reveal a 1/4-20" connector.
