SLR Magic MicroPrime Cine 21mm T1.6 Reviews

Does not fit securely on camer

Upon receiving my lens I proceeded to attach it to my Sony FX9. Imagine my disappointment when the lens didn't mount flush to the sensor and wobbles whenever I try to rack focus. Inferior product. When compared to my Sony G Master lenses the e mount flange on the slr Magic lens is half as thick. I initially heard back from Slr Magic stating that this is the 'new' emount design. This cannot be correct if it simply doesn't fit Sony cameras.

Stunning video lens with character

I use this lens on a micro four thirds system (the BMPCC4K) and I’m in love with the unique character of these SLR Magic microprimes. Specifically, the flare is subtle but gorgeous when the lens hits certain lights at certain angles. This lens is a little soft wide open but lives in a sweet spot between T3-T5. For cinema on a budget, give this microprime a try! You’ll be amazed at your video.

Really fantastic quality. Definitely one of the best Micro 4/3 lenses I've had, got some really great images with it so far. Worth the wait (I pre-ordered). When I put it on the room effectively doubled in depth in picture; nice beautiful wide. I'd say it's definitely worth the money.

A good surprise

Even though you can imagine how good this glass is by reading other users' reviews, you can't tell how good it is until you have the chance to attach it to your own camera and make some stunning shots. This lens got me great results on my A7SIII - it is wide, but it's short focal distance allows you to get really close to subject and capture extremely nice images with low distortion and nice bokeh. At this price range, you'll not find any lens with the same build and glass quality. I'll now by the full kit.

Terrific, fast, creamy look

I picked this up in a set of four SLR Magic MicroPrimes, and have not used it more than a week but so far I love its unique character. The image is beautiful and has a vintage feel, it's light-weight and easy to use on my A7SII hand-held, the focus ring is quick and works great even without follow-focus. Loving so far.
