Delkin Devices 128GB CFexpress Type B Reviews

128gb works great on Nikon Z9

Just got my Z9 2 days ago. The Delkin Power 128gb works great. I get ~76 shots lossless raw before hitting the buffer, it clears very very quickly once you get there too. Basically most of the highest rated cards for the Z9 are 325gb, 512gb or higher. I dont shoot that much in a single outing and dont plan on using 8K a ton, but I still wanted the option to do some short 8K clips, and maybe lay on the shutter every once in a while tracking a raptor or something. And I also wanted at least 2 cards, so the other top performers were going to be overkill for me. I ended up purchasing 2 Delkin Power 128gb cards and have absolutely 0 regrets.

I haven't had an opportunity to use this particular card, but I have had recent experience with Delkin with another card 128 k. I can testify that the company stands behind their products. I had a new card within 48 hours! That's important!

The performance is good.

It will be recorded normally for 2 hours and 5 minutes in Nikonz9 with ProRes 4k60P and H2658K30P. 20 times in a row is also good.

Good card, good price

1TB card was a great price. I have smaller Delkin CFEx Power cards and they all worked, and I needed another CFEx card, so the attractive price made the choice easier. Used on two outings, about 4,000 exposures so far and no problems in writing and reading. Only using for stills.

This is a MONSTER card. Works perfectly in Nikon Z9 camera. Have yet to put it to any strenuous test. It was a GREAT buy during B&H's yew years sale at just over half price.

Slow card for Nikon Z9, but good value

On a Z9 at 20FPS lossless compressed, you only get ~38 frames before you hit the buffer, after which it shoots ~5.5 FPS. On high efficiency star, you get ~60+ frames before you hit the buffer, after which it shoots ~10FPS. I plan on having a faster card in slot 1, and copying the entire card in camera to this 2TB Delkin card in slot 2, using it as a backup. It takes about 25 minutes to copy a 512GB Sandisk card in slot 1 to the Delkin card in slot 2

What is the minimum write speed ?

What is the minimum write speed ?
Asked by: Roberto
I called Delkin customer service. Mark was very helpful. There is no minimum sustainable speed measurement. The card will throttle to a slower speed the hotter it gets making it difficult to state a measurement. This apparently is true of all CFexpress cards. Currently there is an issue that can at times cause an error message on the Canon R5 that stops the video. No video is ruined and video recording can resume. But interrupts the continuous video. Delkin and Canon on working together to identify the problem and resolve it. If it is a Delkin issue I was told they will replace it as it has a lifetime warranty. Delkin expects if it turns out to be a Canon issue, then a firmware update will fix the problem.

No. The Canon EOS 5D-series (generations 1 through 4, as well as 5DS and 5DS R) do not use CFExpress cards. You need CF cards instead.
