If you do not have a USB C on your laptop you can still use camera n mic. The inly difference is you would need HDMI n USB A to C wires plugged.

Videoconferencing is ubiquitous. This monitor is used in the office and it looks good without the camera perched on top. This one’s camera can be pushed down so the bezel is smooth on top. Very good looking. And the picture quality is excellent.

Good value with a couple caveats

Works fine, screen has sharp image and the adjustable height and heavy stand for it is great. Good value generally but can't give it high marks for but the integrated camera which produces a somewhat out-of-focus picture. So if you need high quality camer for video conferencing, not sure this is it. Also, had to order alternate cables to connect to my CPU which doesn't have a USB-C cable port for the only cable that came with the monitor.

I love that I can have 2 monitors again (laptop screen and monitor). I occasionally used two monitors in the past, and have permanently stepped inside the "dual monitor life" this summer. I won't go back. The webcam works great, though you have to have it plugged into the computer before you turn on the computer for the webcam to appear as an option in web-conferencing platforms. Really like that it is height adjustable.
