The Fujinon XA lens was designed for HD recordings. The G2 camera can record in 4k. Can this lens resolve 4K?

Yes Fujinon ENG lenses can resolve 4K. The resolution is dependent on the camera's sensor, which, in this case, is the Blackmagic URSA G2.

I am very confused by marketing of this camera. Name wise and by the way it is presented on BMD's website, it would appear the intention is that this is camera is primarily for broadcast purposes. However, feature wise this seems to me like this camera is an Ursa Mini Pro G3, if you will. However, I notice that the older Ursa Mini Pro G2 costs more than this camera. Why would I buy the Ursa Mini Pro G2 over this camera?
Asked by: Andrew
Larger sensor. More recording formats. Faster frame rates and more dynamic range.

How do connect smpte fiber to this unit? And what can you control with it?
Asked by: Christian
One would need to remove the rear battery plate from the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast G2 Camera when mounting the Blackmagic Design Camera Fiber Converter and connect the molex cable. https://bhpho.to/3pTSDw3 One would connect the SDI in and out from the camera as well as REF port to the Fiber Converter. The Camera Fiber Converter can communicate with the Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter. https://bhpho.to/31Valr5 Control of the camera can be done through ATEM CCU software as well as Blackmagic Design ATEM Camera Control Panel. https://bhpho.to/3dNe7VL

Will adding some shims to the mount help with the focus and back focus? It seems like I need a little more focus on wide shots, but it is already in infinity, and it seems slightly out if focus to me. I adjusted the back focus multiple times. Should I follow the lens guide (9 feet) or the URSA manual at 70 feet, which seems strange to me? I have the Fujinon la16x8brm-xb1a lens. Thinking about a PL lens too.
Asked by: Wesley
Yes adding shims will help fix your focusing issue.
