I plan on using this camera with a tricaster tc1…would I need any additional hardware when using the 12G SDI output?
Asked by: Daniel
12G SDI on the Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast G2 is 4k 60p. However you can also output in HD (3G-SDI) resolutions as well if your Tricaster is an HD Model. It Must have SDI inputs on the Tricaster though to work.

What bag would fit an entire Ursa Broadcast kit ...

What bag would fit an entire Ursa Broadcast kit with the BERM lens attached with space for controls, VF, power supply & accys?
Asked by: Jim
The best way to figure out what size of bag you would need for your Blackmagic Design URSA Broadcast G2 Camera with Fujinon 8.5-170mm Digital Servo Lens & Zoom/Focus Control and accessories would be to fully assemble the camera in the configuration that you are wanting to transport it in, and then measure the dimensions of the setup so that you will know how much interior space you would need your bag to have. Most bags sold from B&H will list the interior space of the bag under the specs tab.

I am very confused by marketing of this camera. ...

I am very confused by marketing of this camera. Name wise and by the way it is presented on BMD's website, it would appear the intention is that this is camera is primarily for broadcast purposes. However, feature wise this seems to me like this camera is an Ursa Mini Pro G3, if you will. However, I notice that the older Ursa Mini Pro G2 costs more than this camera. Why would I buy the Ursa Mini Pro G2 over this camera?
Asked by: Andrew
Larger sensor. More recording formats. Faster frame rates and more dynamic range.
