Each compact battery provides ample power for your production gear and can power any hardware with a V-mount battery plate. It features a durable casing, a 5-LED battery meter, two D-Tap accessory outputs, and Wi-Fi app control, and it can either be charged in the included BLUESHAPE V-mount charger or via D-Tap input. The travel charger can charge both batteries sequentially, and it features an XLR output to provide backup power to your rig.

The Dual V-Mount 6A Travel Charger from BLUESHAPE allows you to charge two V-mount batteries sequentially and features a 4-pin XLR power output. It's very convenient to use, featuring a carry handle and a rotating foot on the bottom for desktop use. This updated model of the CVTR2 charger allows you to use the XLR output as a UPS backup with a quick failover function, and it features a higher 6A simultaneous charge. It is also fanless to ensure a quiet charge. Batteries under 190Wh take less than two hours to charge, while batteries up to 290Wh can take a bit over four hours to charge to 100%.
The charger features a pop-out stand that neatly tucks away underneath when not needed. It can be powered via an included AC cable or the separately available BLUESHAPE In-Car Adapter. A data socket allows for a USB connection with a separately available 4-pin LEMO to USB cable to a computer in order to monitor charging activity and log battery data. The optional BLUESHAPE BSCVMON cable and maintenance utility are required for this, and up to four chargers can be monitored on a single computer.
This charger features a BLUESHAPE technology called IPCS (Intelligent Pre-Charge System) that allows it to provide charge at increased speeds to batteries with fast-charge supporting features, such as pre-charge protection and cell-balancing. IPCS does this by initially boosting very low voltage cells to a state at which charge can be applied with a medium-low current without causing damage. Then it charges with a 300mA current for a while, and when the battery reaches a reasonable voltage state, the charger speeds up the charging process by switching to full throttle. To counteract the increased heat caused by this fast-charging capability, the charger employs another BLUESHAPE technology called CTP (Charger Thermal Protection) that allows the electronics to work out the best possible charge profiles without causing damage, even in adverse temperature conditions.

The GRANITE MINI 14.4V 140Wh V-Mount Li-Ion Battery from BLUESHAPE is designed to push a lot of power from a small and robust chassis that matches the form factor of compact video and cinema gear. On the outside, these batteries are designed for the rigors of a film or video set. The textured finish is easy to grab and is resistant to blemishes from drops and impacts. Both interior and exterior have been tested to survive multiple vertical drops from up to 6' onto hard surfaces. The reinforced V-mount will accept a charge from most standard chargers, though a separately available BLUESHAPE V-mount charger is recommended.
Aside from being robust, the GRANITE MINI batteries are also powerful. Power-hungry cameras and lights can draw up to 12A between the main battery output and the two D-Taps on the sides. In addition to outputting 14.4V power, either D-Tap can charge the battery with a separately available D-Tap charger. As an extra measure of protection, the D-Taps have rubber covers that help maintain the IP54 resistance rating against moisture and dust ingress.
While the 5-LED battery meter is useful and convenient, BLUESHAPE offers a free iOS/Android app to monitor and control various aspects of the battery over Wi-Fi. The app updates in real time based on current capacity, charging speed, and power draw. On set, all batteries can be monitored on the same network, so not only do you know when to grab a fresh battery ahead of time, but which battery is ready to go without having to play a guessing game.
