Streamline your workspace with the Thunderbolt 4 Element Hub from CalDigit. This hub connects to a Windows or Mac PC with an integrated Thunderbolt 4 cable and allows you to connect three Thunderbolt 4 devices at once. Expand your productivity by utilizing the Thunderbolt 4 ports to create a dual-monitor setup with a USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 3, or Thunderbolt 4 compatible monitor. Additionally, there are four USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports delivering data transfer speeds at 10 Gb/s for higher powered devices such as external drives.
Note:
Mac Users: Please ensure you have updated Mac OS to 11 or above for use with this dock.
Apple M1-based computers can only support one external monitor.
Apple M1 Ultra and M1 Ultra Max computers are both capable of four external displays alongside one native display.
Ultimate Compatibility
This hub is backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3, USB Type-C, and USB 4.
Made for You
The Element Hub's four Thunderbolt 4 ports allow you to create the device you want. If you need to connect multiple SSDs, SD card readers, RAID storage, or Dual 4K monitors, there's no issue.
Thunderbolt 4
The Thunderbolt 4 ports are capable of speeds up to 40 Gb/s in order to take advantage of your ultra-fast storage devices.
Built-In USB Ports
While the Element Hub's Thunderbolt 4 ports add a wealth of connectivity potential, the built-in USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports allow you to easily connect up to four high-performance USB Type-A devices such as external NVMe SSDs.
Monitors
The Element Hub can be used to directly connect a USB Type-C, Thunderbolt 3, or Thunderbolt 4 monitor for simple plug-and-play simplicity. When connected to a Thunderbolt 4 host computer, the Element Hub is capable of adding a monitor up to 8K resolution, or dual 4K 60 Hz monitors in either extended or mirrored modes.
Reversible Design
The Element Hub is not only built from high quality aluminum, it also features a reversible design that allows you to utilize it on either the left or right hand side of your laptop. A quick glance at the build-in LED light allows you to instantly see if the Element Hub is in operation.
Daisy Chain
Thunderbolt and USB 4 laptop users can daisy-chain Thunderbolt, USB 4, and USB Type-C devices to the Element Hub. Users on non-Thunderbolt and USB 4 hosts, such as USB Type-C computers (USB 3.2, USB 3.1), are able to daisy-chain USB Type-C devices only. In order to daisy-chain Thunderbolt devices a Thunderbolt or USB 4 connection is required.
iPad Pro & Windows Tablets
As the Element Hub is a Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 device, it is compatible with USB Type-C tablets such as the iPad Pro or Windows tablets.
Tablet & Ultrabook Charging
The Element Hub not only offers versatile connectivity options, it will also charge a Tablet or Ultrabook at up to 60W through the Thunderbolt 4 port. The Element Hub has a fixed 60W laptop charging function, meaning it will consistently provide 60W of charging power if connected to a laptop such as the MacBook Pro 13".
Docking Station Utility
CalDigit has created a Mac OS utility software that allows users to quickly and safely eject all of their storage devices with one click.
A Powerful Offline Charging Station
The Element Hub can even work for you when it's connected to your computer. Keep your USB Type-A or USB Type-C devices connected to the Element Hub and it will continue to charge them. All 8 ports on the Element Hub can be used at the same time for offline charging.
Apple SuperDrive
Many docks and hubs are not compatible with the Apple SuperDrive since it requires a lot of power from the connected USB port. CalDigit has solved this problem by creating a driver that will allow the SuperDrive to work through the Element Hub.
