Professional Graphics
Sporting a 31.5" In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, this display gives you resolution up to 3840 x 2160 and horizontal and vertical viewing angles up to 178°, making this ideal for digital artists working on detailed projects. With support for 1.07 billion colors, a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and a 350 nit peak brightness, you can ensure your media looks clear, essential when creating vivid imagery. A 60 Hz refresh rate is accompanied by 5 ms gray-to-gray response time to provide a smooth and fluid experience when watching and editing media.
Vivid Colorization
With HDR10 compatibility and VESA HDR400 certification, you can ensure your artwork stands out with vivid colorization. Developed with International Color Consortium (ICC) and International Organization of Standardization (ISO), BenQ's AQCOLOR technology produces color-accurate reproduction suitable for a wide range of artwork, photo editing, and more. You get enhanced color gamut coverage with 99% sRGB and Rec.709 with Delta ≤3 accuracy. Additionally, each DesignVue PD3205U comes individually pre-calibrated with a certification report for trustworthy performance. Each monitor has earned the Calman and Pantone Validated statuses.
Efficiently Designed
Whether you are designing or completing daily tasks, the PD3205U sports several features designed to streamline your workload. Picture-In-Picture (PIP) and Picture-By-Picture (PBP) modes allow you to pull up multiple images from multiple devices with interlaced images or dividing the screen for dedicated image sections, respectively. A built-in KVM switch allows you to connect and control two different systems with a single keyboard and mouse.

One Key Shortcuts allow you to easily access color settings and more with standard key presses or use the included Hotkey Puck G2 controller for another layer of convenience. Display Pilot allows you to integrate additional designer-friendly features.

Integrated view presets allow you to use specialized modes such as CAD/CAM, Animation, Darkroom, and DualView to adjust display settings automatically to match your workload.

The DesignVue PD3205U features one HDMI and one DisplayPort input, allowing you to connect multiple devices simultaneously and switch between them seamlessly. Additionally, a single USB-C input allows you to connect devices that support DP Alt Mode while supplying 90W power delivery so you can conveniently charge your device while expanding your screen real estate.

Ergonomics
Use the adjustable stand to rotate the screen 90° for portrait viewing in addition to configuring its height, swivel, and tilt. Or use the 100 x 100mm VESA mounting pattern to place the display onto a wall, swivel arm, or multi-monitor stand. Integrated Eye-Care technology offers settings that filter out blue light so you can work on your projects for longer without experiencing eyestrain and fatigue.

Well balanced 32 4k Monitor

I mostly use this monitor for photo editing, media viewing, and office work with the lightning port on my MacBook. At this price point, this laptop offered the best photo editing experience without being too expensive. I really like the puck accessory that comes with the monitor to change the volume and quickly go between sRGB, MacBook, and Low Blue light modes. This is quite the upgrade from my old 1080p 27.

Lovely Display for the Price

The screen is gorgeous for this price range, nice and bright, with punchy HDR, many pro color options, a slick matte finish, and nice viewing angle. The MBook setting matches my 2021 MBP quite well for general use. My intent was to use this mostly for toolbars and timelines and pallets and keep my video on the excellent MBP screen, but I find myself dragging video windows up to this and being happy with the look. I connect via HDMI for video, I was not wild about the way it behaved when I tried USB-C. If you connect via both HDMI and USB-C, it will assume you have two separate video sources even if you only want the USB-C connection for data. You have to switch between them. I pulled a star because the hub and switching options are less than stellar in practice. I run my Time Machine SSD and my audio interface through this unit and also use the side ports (handy) for thumb drives and such. My main gripe is that it dismounts drives when it goes to sleep, causing me to need to enter a password to reconnect them if they are configured to be secure. I also don't find the puck thing particularly useful, but that's more a matter of preference. I still think it's worth the price for the screen alone and would buy it again.

Great Monitor for Macbook Pro users

I needed a monitor for my 2021 Macbook Pro 16 and this one fit the bill perfectly. The USB-C 90 W power delivery is amazing, no need to carry/plug in a charger. The built in KVM switch helps if you need to use a Mac and a PC system, with the hotkey puck. Less clutter on your desk and more seamless switching/integration.

Not worth the price.

It's a nice monitor but benq could have added rgb on it. There's a lot of cheaper brand out there that can match this monitor. I thought this newly released benq monitor would have been better than the previous. Don't waste your money on this. Buy a cheaper brand because the others are just as good as this one no matter how benq advertises this one.

Piece of Junk

Would give it zero if I could. Piece of curse word here, USB C has stopped working on it and it is just now a year old and not even used for that many hours (roughly 700). Don't buy anything from BenQ they produce low quality junk even at an expensive price.

Killer Inexpensive Monitor

For the price this is a great monitor. Is it the best? Nope. Are there better? Yup. But, for the price and what it does? It nails it. I can do mission critical color accurate work in photoshop and deliver with confidence. If I was a gfx guy and was outputting files all day, I would not buy this monitor. If you're like me, outputting or checking color critical stills and video on a regular basis it's killer. I work in production using Sketchup and Vectorworks too. The huge real estate to edit on is incredible. I highly recommend this monitor for anyone that wants an accurate monitor. If I was a gfx, video, or photo editor as my main gig I would not buy this, I would invest in a better monitor. But I don't want to sell this monitor short. I love it.

I will be sharing this display across three computers. If I connect a USB mic, a USB audio interface, and a USB external hard drive to the ports on the back of the monitor, will those three computers be able to share the resources when they are using the monitor?
Asked by: Don
You can connect the USB device to the ports on our monitor and use either USB-C cable or USB-Upstream cable to connect to his personal laptop/PC. When you change the USB-signal to different PC/Laptop, the chosen PC/laptop can use these USB devices. However, user can only choose one PC/Laptop at a time, different PC/Laptop can not share these USB devices simultaneously.

How do you calibrate the monitor so what you see is what your printer actually prints? What kind of monitor is it for photo-editing?
Asked by: Bill
Calibration the BenQ PD3205U DesignVue 31.5" 16:9 4K HDR FreeSync IPS Monitor BH #BEPD3205U would require a color calibrator like the Spyder X Pro. Once you have calibrated the monitor, there is an entirely different process to ensure proper output when printing which involves soft-proofing through your photo editing software as well as getting the profiles for the paper you wish to print with or profiling the paper which requires additional hardware. It's not a simple process, my best advice is to look for online videos that go into the process so you can gain a better understanding of how to do it.
