It looks like there is a metal stud that extrudes near the 1/4 on the side.Does this impact the ability to mount a RC2 flush?

The Leofoto LPC-R5 L-Plate for Canon EOS R5 & R6 Cameras will mount flush to tripod heads with an Arca-Type compatible clamp. The bracket is not compatible with tripod heads with a Manfrotto RC2 clamp.

is there restricted movement of the lcd screen?

There will be some restriction of movement when using the Canon EOS R5 & R6 LCD screens with the Leofoto LPC-R5 L-Plate for Canon EOS R5 & R6 Cameras. You can still flip the screen so it faces the front of the camera, as well as face the rear of the camera, and you may also tilt the screen to face up or down, but the tilting angle will be slightly restricted.

Will this work with the RRS ballhead & clamp?

Yes. The Leofoto LPC-R5 L-Plate for Canon EOS R5 & R6 Cameras is Arca Swiss compatible so it will fit into an RRS brand clamp or ballhead.

Does it work with the new Canon R7?

Unfortunately there are no L Brackets made for the R7. A generic bracket can be used instead but it might interfere with the movement of the LCD screen, battery door, and cable ports. Please take a look at the following link: https://bhpho.to/3FILDvE
