What would happen if someone bangs into the ...

What would happen if someone bangs into the narrow speakers while they are connected (or a child pulls it), will they crack, or will they simply pull out?
Asked by: benjamin
The three portions of the top speaker on the American Audio APX CS8 plug into each other in such a way that if the assembly were pulled, while plugged into the subwoofer, then the most damage would happen at the point where the subwoofer meets with the upper speaker.

How good is the sound quality of this speaker - mainly for speeches, in a room about 25x50'?
Asked by: benjamin
The American Audio APX CS8 Powered Column PA System could be a great option for speaking applications like meetings and conferences, in addition to use for playing music. It should work very well in your 25 x 50' room. The APX CS8 has two channels with XLR and 1/4" inputs for microphones or line level devices, as well as a third channel with a 3.5mm aux input and the ability to switch to the onboard media player, which offers USB, SD, and Bluetooth playback. There is also a dedicated control knob for adjusting the low frequencies which allows you to tailor the sound for speech or music. The system delivers clear and full-sounding audio at a very reasonable price.

The American Audio APX CS8 has an AUX/BLUETOOTH switch so you can keep it toggled to AUX settings to avoid activating the bluetooth pairing on the speaker.

How well will this unit work for live music with Guitar, Vocal and backing tracks for audiences from 50 to 100?
Asked by: Ted
The American Audio APX CS8 may be a bit underpowered for an application like this, as it is only a 100w speaker with an 8" LF driver. For amplifying live music to an audience of 100 people, I would suggest a pair of 10 to 12 inch speakers with greater wattage.
