Ideal for landscapes, cityscapes, street scenes, architecture, and more, the Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 XF is a sleek ultra-wide prime lens characterized by its portability, advanced optical design, and intuitive handling. Its fast f/1.4 maximum aperture balances size and speed and is suitable for working in available lighting conditions. Optical Design

  • Ultra-wide prime lens designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras where it provides a 20mm equivalent to full-frame 35mm focal length.
  • Bright f/1.4 maximum aperture suits working in difficult lighting conditions and helps to maintain a relatively compact form factor.
  • 14 lens elements in 11 groups provide a sophisticated optical design. Two aspherical lens elements are optimized for distortion and off-axis optical aberration allowing the lens to maintain excellent resolution throughout the entire focusing range.
  • Four ED (extra-low dispersion) lens elements greatly reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations to produce greater clarity and color accuracy no matter which aperture you choose.
  • Designed for smooth video capture, the lens effectively eliminates focus breathing when changing focusing distances while shooting video.
  • STM autofocus motor provides fast and responsive AF down to a minimum object distance of just 8.7".
  • Nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

Viltrox AF 13mm f/1.4 Reviews

A WOW lens; better than I expected

Haven't shot it a lot, but what I have has confirmed that it's a keeper.. Plenty high rez at middle F-stops, and excellent center and middles even at F4, all on my X-T4.. Here's hoping it'll look just as good with 40MP.

The astro lens I've been waiting for.

I've been waiting for a fast (faster than f2), ultra-wide lens for the X mount for a while. I got into astrophotography a year or so ago and have been using the 16 1.4, which is an amazing lens but not quite wide enough to capture the sky as big as I want it. I haven't been able to shoot astro with this yet (thank you rain and clouds!), but I have taken this for some test drives around town. The EXIF information is captured in the photos, the lens returns pleasing colors, and gets sharper once you start to step down (maybe around f2.8). Wide open, there is considerable loss of detail in the edges (documented in other reviews online), and without another fast UW to compare to, this is probably normal. And given dark skies for astro, I don't see this being an issue.

Great lens, especially for the price

I love this lens. I was eagerly awaiting its release after seeing pre-release reviews on Youtube and I wasn't disappointed. The build quality is great (all metal) and the lens seems pretty sharp even wide open (granted, I'm not much of a pixel peeper--I'd rather make art!). I am especially impressed with how fast and accurate the auto focus is compared to Fuji's lenses. It's on par with their best and better than the older Fuji lenses like the 35mm f1.4, which is slower and noisier.

Sharp & Well Built

Very sharp, even wide open. Weight is fine, but I do wish it was a little smaller. Still an awesome walk-around lens. Built as nice as the red-badge lenses (except no WR), but with a really nice hood. My only complaints are the flare resistance is just good not great, and the lens caps are pretty cheap feeling. Also the rear cap doesn't fit my other WR lenses (it interferes with the gasket).

Fantastic wide angle

Purchases this lens for professional real estate photography, landscape photography, and as a video lens for vlogs. This lens sharpness is great, fantastic starburst at f8 and good low light capabilities. Focusing is virtually silent and is quick on my xt3. Highly recommend and will be a frequent carry on my camera, easily the best non-Fuji glass I've experience thus far.

Asked by: Daniel
You're better off comparing it to the Fuji or Sigma 16 1.4, or Rokinon 12 f2... no Sigma 20mm exists for Fuji
