Glad I bought it. The camera case fits the M 11 perfectly. No gaps. High-quality materials and finish. Very functional. The attachment pin is a great improvement. The case protects the bottom of the camera from incidental bumps and dings. The case for the M10R had a removable flap to protect the screen; I thought I might miss it on the M 11 case, but I don't.

This case fits the camera tightly, adding both protection and, for my largish hands, improved ergonomics. The case adds about a half inch (1 cm) to the height of the camera and slightly increases the difficulty of accessing the SD card. I found this case better than the similar case for the M10 because it fits much more tightly, providing a more secure grip on the camera whereas the M10 protector would compress under pressure.

Does this case have a screw that attaches it to the tripod mount in the camera's base plate or does it slide on and stay in place by friction?
No, the Leica M11 Protector Case does not screw into the tripod mount of the camera.
