I used the RODE VideoMic GO on a boomstand with a six-foot 3.5 mm extension cord. I was able to dial the sound levels right in.The upgrade in quality from my previous system was well worth the money. Sound quality improved to great. Mike

will this mic work connected to my fx3 audio handle?
You would need to use a battery powered mic like the Rode VideoMic NTG if you want to go directly into the 1/8'' mic input on the Sony FX3. The Sony FX3 does not have mic plugin power. To be able to use the Rode Videomic Go, you would need the compatible FX3 XLR module along with the Rode VXLR+ adapter.

Is the Fur Windshield in the Windshield kit the WS12 by Rode or just "a" fur windshield? The image indicates it is, but the part number is not mentioned nor that is made by Rode.
The fur windshield that is included with the Rode VideoMic GO II Shotgun Microphone is the Rode WS12 Deluxe Windshield for VideoMic GO II (B&H # ROWS12). The information for the windshield is listed in the last paragraph of the description and with the details for the included items listed under "In the Box" on the right side of the page, next to the description.

If used with an iPhone, will the phone's speaker work while in use?
No. When an external microphone is connected to the iPhone, the internal speaker is muted. You can use an adapter like the RODE AI-Micro USB-C Audio Interface (B&H # ROAIMICRO) which includes a Lightning adapter and provides two mic inputs and a headphone output. The RODE VideoMic GO II Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone is compatible. We do also have other options for mobile interfaces that will work in the same manner.
