    Is the Seagate 16TB Exos X18 7200 rpm SAS III 12 Gb/s 3.5" Internal HDD compatible with Motherboard supporting SATA 6GBs port?

    The Seagate Exos X18 7200 rpm SAS III 12 Gb/s 3.5" Internal HDD is a SAS drive, not SATA. It is incompatible with SATA ports as SAS is a different protocol and connector type.

    Solid fast and reliable but do remember if you are using on the field you will need an external power source being that this is not a 2.5 nor SSD drive which can run directly off your laptop USB port

    Seagate 16TB Exos X18 7200 rpm SAS III 12 Gb/s 3.5" Internal HDD drives require a SAS connector, which looks like a SATA connector but has power and data fused together. If your motherboard doesn't have a SAS connector, you'll need to purchase and install a separate SAS PCIe card.
