Gain camera movements and perspective control while retaining Hasselblad V lens and back compatibility with this Cambo ACTUS-DB2 Set, which includes the ACTUS-DB2 view camera body, the ACB-HVSA Lens Plate with shutter activator for Hasselblad V-mount lenses, and the SLW-80 Rear Plate for attaching Hasselblad V-system digital backs to the ACTUS.
Offering extensive perspective and focus control with medium format digital backs, the ACTUS-DB2 View Camera Body from Cambo effectively transforms your digital back into a digital view camera. As the core component within a modular system, this view camera body serves as the primary piece from which you can pair a variety of digital back types and large format lenses to reap the benefits of geared camera movements for correcting perspective distortions, achieving an extended depth of field, or producing creative selective focus effects. While resembling traditional large format view cameras in function, the ACTUS system also echoes the compact, contemporary form factor of the digital backs it is designed to be paired with and is optimized for use in both the studio as well as on location.
This view camera body is delivered with a 6.9" monorail as well as a 5.9" bellows to permit working with a variety of focal lengths. The monorail is designed to fit within the Arca-Swiss style quick release system for easy mounting to a tripod, and is also fitted with both 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 mounts for attaching quick release plates. Optional lensplates and interface plates can be added depending on your desired lens and back combination, and the monorail and bellows are also interchangeable with optional wide-angle and longer versions of each.
- Rear Rise/Fall: +0.5", -0.6" / +12mm, -15mm
- Rear Shift: ± 0.8" / 20mm
- Front Swing: 360°
- Front Tilt: +10°, -9°
- Both fine geared and quick-slide focusing adjustment types are available.
- Bellows and monorail focusing allows you to achieve closer focusing distances without the use of extension tubes or other macro attachments.
- Zero-position clicks are incorporated into each movement type for more intuitive handling.
- Infinity marks are engraved into the monorail for quick focus setting of various Schneider and Rodenstock lenses.
- Monorail is compatible with the Arca-Swiss-style quick release system and also features both 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 mounts.
- Front tilts and swings allow you to alter the plane of focus for employing selective focus techniques or Scheimpflug settings for extensive depth of field. Additionally, these tilt and swing movements are used to correct for convergence and other perspective distortions.
- Rear horizontal and vertical shifts allow you to move the back's position while retaining the same lens position, making this configuration especially ideal for stitching multiple exposures without having to adjust the lens.
- The optional digital back interface plates allow you to rotate between horizontal and vertical shooting orientations without having to adjust the actual orientation of the view camera body.
- This black finish body is anodized for greater durability and scratch resistance.
- Compact overall form factor is relative to the size of medium format digital backs.

This Cambo ACB-HVSA lensplate adds extra functionality for the lens' leaf shutter to be activated and released, allowing you to mount lenses from the Hasselblad-500 series. The availability of Hasselblad lenses of the 500 series provides the opportunity to use particular old style legacy lenses, as well as very long focal lengths without the extreme physical extension of symmetric large format lenses.
This adapter will work with virtually any digital back that can be triggered externally by means of the flash sync contact, as well as with digital backs that have a built-in electronic shutter. The aperture of the lenses can be set manually, the shutter can be cocked manually and released with the supplied cable release. While all 500 series lenses are compatible with the ACB-HVSA, in practical terms the choice of lens may be limited to those with enough image circle coverage to account for the camera movements of the Actus camera system.
The SLW-80 Rear Plate from Cambo allows you to mount a back with a Hasselblad V interface to the ACTUS-DB view camera. This plate does not incorporate any internal contacts, therefore requiring the back to be triggered externally.
