This Full-Spectrum IR Camera with 3-Filter Kit from Kolari Vision features a full-spectrum converted Canon PowerShot ELPH 180 camera for IR photography. In the modification, done by Kolari Vision, the camera's native low-pass filter was removed and replaced with a clear filter. This allows you to use IR filters for infrared photography. The camera features a live view, highly useful for focusing and composing directly in infrared. It's an ultra-compact camera with a 20MP sensor, an 8x zoom lens, and simple controls. (The camera normally captures 20MP images and up to 720p25 video.) Between the design, features, and cost-point of the modified camera, it's suitable as an entry level solution for IR photography beginners.
The included 3-filter kit consists of 37mm 590nm, 720nm, and IR cut hot mirror filters from Kolari for the camera's built-in lens. A 37mm filter adapter ring comes permanently attached to the front of the lens in order to support the included filters as well as others you may want to try. The 590 and 720nm filters are for IR photography while the hot mirror filter is for normalizing your camera. When you don't want the full-spectrum modification, use the hot mirror filter to allow light to pass normally to the sensor, so you can shoot normal photos.
