Combining a comfortable wide-angle design with an ultra-fast maximum aperture, the 16mm f/1.4 DC DN is part of Sigma's Contemporary series of lenses and designed for use with FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras. Characterized by its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, this lens is adept at working in low-light conditions and also affords increased control over depth of field for selective focus control. The optical design makes use of several low dispersion and aspherical elements, which control color fringing and various aberrations in order to provide high sharpness and clarity throughout the aperture range. Individual elements also feature a super multilayered coating to suppress flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions. Benefitting the optical assets, this lens also sports a stepping AF motor for quick, quiet, and smooth focusing performance that suits both still photography as well as video applications.

Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Reviews
El mejor lente
Una facilidad de compra, me llegó rápido a casa y ni digamos el lente ultra luminoso y nítido, lo recomiendo 100%.
Perfect for my Nikon DX kit
I first tried the Viltrox 13mm lens for my Nikon Z50, to use indoors, darker environments and some astro. I was a good lens, but didn't blow me away, it was also maybe too wide for me for a prime. I ended up returning the Viltrox. After researching the Sigma line, and hearing the rave reviews (some saying they are the best primes for the Nikon DX system), I decided to try this 16mm 1.4. Boy am I glad I decided to go the Sigma route. This lens DID blow me away. The focus is dead on, and the images are sharp! Some prefer aperture rings on their lenses, I actually prefer the simpler clean look of the Sigmas. I also prefer the handling of the Sigma overall as well. Going from a 13mm to 16mm (roughly 19.5mm to 24mm in FX), I prefer the more natural focal length of the 16mm for a fast prime. I do have the wider Nikon DX 12mm-28mm if I do need wider. Nighttime shots indoors and outside are incredible to me with lens. I love this Sigma lens so much, I also purchased the 56mm 1.4 Sigma prime as well.
