I bought this cover for my Nikon 100-400 before a safari to Africa for 10 days. Thought it would be convenient to use, and keep my lens cool, and maybe hide the lens a little. It slips on the lens, so the openings and windows are almost useless, and they make it virtually impossible to find the focus ring for making manual adjustments. It does not stay in place, so the various rings don't align after a few minutes of use. As for the lens hood cover, I have a flexible neoprene cover for my 14-24 that is easier to use. I gave it a second star because it does keep the lens from getting scratched, so it isn't totally useless.
