Klipsch RP-600M II Overview

Elevate your home stereo setup or expand your home cinema system with these Reference Premiere RP-600M II Two-Way Bookshelf Speakers from Klipsch in an attractive ebony finish. This pair of second-generation speakers are made to fill your space with a larger soundstage thanks to increased power handling and a more accurate directivity of sound. This is achieved via the larger Tractrix horn of the 1" titanium LTS vented tweeter, and the 70% larger voice coil in the 6.5" Cerametallic cone woofer. When compared to lower bookshelf models in the series, the RP-600M II also allow for bi-wiring and bi-amping, letting you add more power and enjoy clearer sound via minimized distortion.

90 x 90° Silicon Composite Hybrid Tractrix Horn
Klipsch's proprietary Tractrix geometry in the horn is specifically crafted to efficiently transfer the high frequencies of the tweeter to the listener. This second-generation Tractrix horn is larger for better directivity and a wider overall soundstage. The Tractrix horn can accomplish this level of audio fidelity and smooth frequency response by being combined with a phase plug and a compressed molded silicon face.
LTS Titanium Diaphragm Tweeter
Part of Klipsch's Reference line, the LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) works to minimize distortion for more detailed audio reproduction.
Vented Tweeter Design
The housing of the tweeter in this pair of bookshelf speakers clarifies the high-frequency signal by reducing standing waves that would otherwise create unwanted harmonics.
Cerametallic Woofer
Another signature aspect of Klipsch's Reference Premiere speakers are the Cerametallic woofers. This bookshelf speaker is equipped with a single 6.5" woofer, and the Cerametallic construction keeps it lightweight, yet rigid, to both maximize acoustic efficiency and minimize distortion. The second-generation, voice coil is 70% larger in diameter to ensure flawless reproduction with better power handling, cone control, and linearity. The addition of aluminum shorting rings adds to the improved power handling and lower distortion, while the motor structure itself improves the transit response adds more control with increased speed and improved accuracy.
Tractrix Ports
If you prefer a deeper bass from your speakers, the integrated ports of the RP-600M II utilize Klipsch's Tractrix geometry to produce clean and punchy low-end frequencies. The geometry allows the air to quickly and efficiently exit the speaker, which also reduces port noise. Customized inner flares further lowers noise by reducing air turbulence entering the port.
Bi-Wiring and Bi-Amping
Dual input terminals on the back of each speaker allow you to bi-wire and bi-amp with additional (optional) cabling. Bi-wiring allows you to separate the high and low frequencies to each cable. By separating them, interference and distortion are minimized, delivering a clearer sound that has more accuracy in your listening environment. The bi-amping can generate more power for your speakers by using outboard crossovers with (optional) separate amplifiers.
Improved Input Panel
The RP-600M II features audiophile-grade wiring and easily accessible aluminum binding posts for any connection type.
Premium Construction
Klipsch uses internally braced furniture-grade MDF for a durable and attractive appearance. The ebony vinyl finish includes satin-painted baffles that have a scratch-resistant coating.
Magnetic Grille
You have the option of exposing the copper-colored woofer and tweeter or covering them up with a discrete speaker grille. The grille magnetically attaches to the front of the RP-600M II.
Cork Pads
Replacing typical rubber bumpers are cork pads, which work to protect the surfaces of a stand or table.

Klipsch RP-600M II Reviews

Klipsch E-Klipsch's Other Speakers

By Lamont
Rated 5 out of 5
Date: 2025-05-03

As I have read and heard from other notable reviewers such as Erin (Erin's Audio Corner), Andrew Robinson and some others on YouTube, even when they review most other noteworthy bookshelf speakers either highly priced or moderately priced, they can't seem to leave out the Reference Premiere RP-600 M II as a comparison. Whether or not the other speaker slightly edges out the RP-600 M II, it is always somewhere in the picture. Speakers like the ELAC Debut 3.0 DB63, Debut Reference DBR62, the MartinLogan Motion Foundation B2, MartinLogan Motion XT B100 or even the B&W or Wharfedales which some have high-end hefty prices, the Klipsch is usually mentioned in comparison to performance at half the price or less. This speaks volumes when a speaker is so close in sound comparison to other models being reviewed either high-end or moderate priced. Even Crutchfield's new Sound profile explanation shows the Klipsch up there with better choices. You don't have to take my word for it but at least read and check out reviews and see for yourself, that these speakers are more than worth the accolades they've been getting. I doubt very much that those that have heard and tested them would mention them with such high praise if they weren't.

Another win for Klipsch and me
