The Jensen Vintage Alnico P12N IR Library for TH-U SuperCabinet from Overloud is a SuperCabinet IR library, which captures the powerful, clear tones of the vintage Jensen P12N 12" Alnico speaker in 1x12 and 2x12 configurations, and captured by 19 microphones for an impressive 1216 total impulse responses. A potent speaker long respected for its use in high-end amps of the time, like the Fender Tweed Twin, this IR library is a great choice for either pristinely clean guitar tone or gritty and greasy bite.
The 19 mics were used to record in four different horizontal positions, two distances, and two angles for a total of 16 IRs each. When the tone may seem too bright for modern uses, Overloud includes a convenient remastered version of each IR, effectively doubling the number of available IRs, which utilize finely tuned top-end response, for increased warmth in contemporary-style settings. Designed exclusively for the SuperCabinet IR processor, easily blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers. The Jensen Vintage Alnico P12N IR Library is an ideal choice for those seeking high-powered vintage tone in a versatile and affordable package.
- Graphically browse the IRs in the library
- Blend them together
- Craft new cabinet tones with the unique multiband mode
- Use the IR in the software
- Export the IRs in WAV file format, compatible with software IR loaders and all major hardware modelers
In the modern world, especially with high-gain tones that are naturally very rich in harmonic overtones, all this energy in the treble range may occasionally turn into an overly bright, aggressive tone. To further expand the possible applications of these historic speakers, Overloud decided to offer all the Vintage Jensen IRs with a remastered version, where the top-end response is finely tuned to be warmer and less prominent to make it more suitable for contemporary higher gain applications. This creates a sort of virtually aged tone that offers a whole new range of sounds for every application. All the IRs in the library are effectively doubled by the remastered version, opening up new possibilities to the player beyond the original hardware.

Every microphone has been moved to 4 different horizontal positions (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone, and Cone Edge), two distances and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each. All the measurements set have been repeated for each cabinet in the library, and all IRs have been phase aligned, so they can be blended without phase cancellation.
