The Jensen Vintage C12K and N12K IR Library for TH-U SuperCabinet from Overloud is a SuperCabinet IR library, which captures the smooth and full-bodied tone of the vintage Jensen C12K and N12K 35W ceramic speakers in 1x12 and 2x12 configurations, and captured by 19 microphones for an impressive 1824 total impulse responses. Speakers long respected for their mixture of vintage tone and modern power handling, this IR library is a great choice for those seeking versatile options than can sit equally well in both classic and modern playing styles.
The 19 mics were used to record in four different horizontal positions, two distances, and two angles for a total of 16 IRs each. Since the tone may seem too bright for modern uses, Overloud includes a convenient remastered version of each IR, effectively doubling the number of available IRs, utilizing finely tuned top-end response for increased warmth in more contemporary settings. Designed exclusively for SuperCabinet, the Jensen Vintage C12K and N12K IR Library is an ideal choice for those seeking powerful and dynamic character in an affordable package. Blend and create custom cabinet tones and export IRs in WAV format for use in external IR loaders and modelers.

The N12K was developed in conjunction with Fender as the speaker for the new Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb and Twin Reverb. It delivers the same sound, character and dynamic feel of the classic Jensen C12K, with half the weight thanks to the exclusive Jensen neodymium-magnet design (the same magnet used in the Tornado series). The N12K exhibits full-bodied tone with a hint of a more modern, transparent lower midrange, along with the same, remarkable headroom and just the right amount of treble, to sound clear and even. The cabinet selection is the same as the C12K—1x12 and 2x12 open back, with 19 mics and 16 positions.
In the modern world, especially with high-gain tones rich in harmonic overtones, energy in the treble range may occasionally turn in an overly bright and aggressive tone. To further expand the possible applications of these historic speakers, Overloud decided to offer all the Vintage Jensen IRs in a remastered version, where the top-end response is finely tuned to be warmer and less prominent, making it more suitable for contemporary higher-gain applications. This creates a sort of virtually aged tone that offers a whole new range of sounds for every application. All the IRs in the library are effectively doubled when counting the remastered versions, opening up new possibilities to the player beyond the original hardware.

Every microphone has been moved to 4 different horizontal position (Cap, Cap Edge, Cone, and Cone Edge), two distances and two angles, for a total of 16 IRs each. All the measurements have been repeated for each cabinet in the library, and all IRs have been phase aligned, so they can be blended without phase cancellation.
