The iPad Air also features a 10.9" Liquid Retina Display with a 2360 x 1640 resolution at 264 pixels per inch (ppi). The Liquid Retina Display still has all the features you expect, such as P3 wide color gamut coverage, True Tone, anti-reflective and fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coatings, 500 nits of brightness, and support for the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil (sold separately).

Enjoy Center Stage on this iPad Air, thanks to the Ultra Wide 12MP front camera. Center Stage automatically pans to keep everyone in view as they move around. When others join in, the camera automatically detects them and smoothly zooms out to include them in the frame, allowing for a more engaging FaceTime experience. The rear Wide 12MP camera can record 4K video and take sharp photos.

For connectivity, the iPad Air features dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and Bluetooth 5.0. Apple has updated the USB Type-C port to the USB 3.1 Gen 2 standard, allowing for speeds of up to 10 Gb/s. Touch ID is integrated into the top button. Touch ID uses your fingerprint to provide a safe and secure way to unlock your iPad Air as well as log into apps and use Apple Pay.

Liquid Retina Display
The iPad Air has a 10.9" Liquid Retina Display with a 2360 x 1640 resolution and P3 wide color gamut coverage for vivid colors. It also has True Tone, 500 nits of brightness, and an anti-glare coating for better viewing. True Tone optimizes the white balance of the display to best fit your ambient light, so it's easy on the eyes. The screen supports the 2nd Gen Apple Pencil.

Touch ID

I have had this device for almost three weeks and after getting locked out device unavailable and spending 2 1/2 hours with Apple support to no avail and paying a local technician $52.00 to unlock the device so I could reset the device there are obviously conflicts with earlier passwords etc. that will not allow me to complete the setup. Total frustration.

Considering the improvements in iPad capabilities over the years, relative to the purchase cost adjusted for inflation, I am happy with this model. Everything runs quickly, the weight is reasonable, the display and sound are impressive relative to the size of the device, and the battery life is adequate.

I was originally going to get an iPad Pro 11" with an M1 processor, but then the new Air came out with the M1. If you don't need large storage on your iPad, then why spend more for the Pro. I use it for graphic design and digital art, and it easily handles Photoshop, Procreate and Illustrator like the Pro I used to have. I have some issues with Apple, but not about this iPad.

Hello, this long-time Adobe user is now reading the writing on the wall. This iPad Air 10.9" Early 2022 5th Gen with M1 Chip will be sufficient for 4K editing using current Final Cut Pro X? Thanks for your patience with me. You are the people I trust for all this stuff.

Wondering if this will run Adobe Premiere Pro smoothly? I want to edit 4K. I like the idea of going Apple over PC. But I don't want to change to FCP yet. Is there anyone who is using Premiere Pro on this or a similar iPAD?
