First, I have to admit I’m a novice so you should take my opinion with a grain of salt. That said, someone knowledgeable recommended this light and it seems to live up to the hype. For what it’s worth, I recommend it also.
I like it. I wish it was brighter.

These 4' tubes are nice. They run on battery for about an hour. Integrate wonderfully with Sidus Link. They're silent and color accuracy looks great. My only complaint is that I wish they were brighter. They don't have enough punch, especially when doing saturated colors, to stand out in a moderately lit scene. My studio is lit to around f/4 at ISO 800. I have 4 x 4' T4Cs and they get completely lost in the fray when trying to put color on a background. I have to drop the rest of my lighting down to around 25%, getting to about an f/2.8 @ ISO 1600 before 4 of these lights really can punch through and put some color on things or make a difference in lighting a subject. If you're working with low light levels or can get them really close in, they become a lot more useful. Wish I could focus the beam a little more somehow. Oh and the 45 degree grids they're even dimmer, it's almost unusably dim with the grids. Again, this is for a lit set. Use in a dark room or dimly lit podcast studio might be different.

Given the number of mounting options, these seem like they might be good for small studio work mounted in from a grid. Would they function well like that?
Asked by: Christian
If used fairly close they could be hung from a grid or mounted to a stand with a swivel or directly to a stand with a 1/4 20 mount or a pin in a c stand. There are many ways to mount it to a stand.

No. The T4c doesn't have pixel effects. All of the colors and effects appear on the tube at once, not section by section.
