Obstacle Avoidance
Staying safer in the sky is now easier with the Mini 3 Pro, thanks to a tri-directional obstacle avoidance sensor system and the usage of APAS 4.0 (Advanced Pilot Assistance Systems) technology. The forward, backward, and downward dual-vision sensors work with APAS 4.0 to automatically detect and avoid obstacles in the drone's flight path.
Professional Aerial Imaging
The integrated camera of the Mini 3 Pro features a 1/1.3" sensor with HDR support, dual native ISO, an f/1.7 aperture, and large 2.4μm pixels. The aperture and pixel size allow a considerable amount of light to enter the sensor, which reduces noise to elevate image and video quality in low-light situations, in addition to delivering stunning results in optimal lighting conditions. The optics are capable of recording video at up to a brilliant and smooth 4K60 and large, detailed raw stills at up to 48MP. With an eye toward professional content creation, the camera can also shoot in slow motion at 120 fps at Full HD 1080p resolution and offers the D-Cinelike Color mode, which supplies you with more color information that can help make post-flight editing more flexible.
True Vertical Shooting
The camera is housed within a gimbal that has its own features that lend to more dynamic footage. The gimbal's wide rotation range supports low-angle shooting, but can also rotate for true vertical shooting. This social media-friendly feature allows the gimbal to rotate 90° to switch between landscape and portrait orientations.
Increased Flight Time
With an upgrade to the included Intelligent Flight Battery's capacity, combined with larger propellers and an aerodynamic body tilt, the Mini 3 Pro is able to fly for up to 34 minutes. With the release of the optional Intelligent Flight Battery Plus, pilots who opt to equip the Mini 3 Pro with this battery can greatly exceed that duration with an up to 47 minute flight time.
Creative Modes and Tracking
A host of integrated features allow pilots of almost any skill level to pull off professional quality results with little effort.

  • FocusTrack: This system includes ActiveTrack 4.0, Spotlight 2.0, and Point of Interest 3.0 for wide-ranging subject tracking
  • MasterShots: Select your subject and the Mini 3 Pro will automatically perform pro-style maneuvers for cinematic results
  • Time-Lapse: Create dramatic timelapse or hyperlapse videos. Ideal shooting modes for filming moving traffic or rolling clouds
  • Panorama: Capture stunning vistas in one of four available panorama modes: 180°, wide angle, vertical, and sphere
  • QuickShot: Dronie, Helix, Rocket, Circle, Boomerang, and Asteroid
Regulation Friendly
Coming in at under 8.8 oz, the compact and portable Mini 3 Pro does not require registration in many countries and regions, giving you more opportunities to capture aerial stills and videos.

DJI Mini 3 Pro Reviews

Great little drone

Fantastic, easy to fly, take off and landing is easy. I have been flying drones for 8+ years so this isn't my first drone, but it is very capable. I haven't push the range but you can definitely fly it via the screen and the return to home feature works well, It is very small so if you look away and then look back up it can be hard to find.

Essential Add-on

The drone is top notch and the built-in screen is so much better than having to attach a phone. In most ways its equal to or better than my Phantom 4 Pro, but in a much smaller format. If only flying occasionally where flight time is 25 minutes or less, then the Fly More Kit (FMK) may not be for you, but if portability and maximum flight time is in your plan, then consider this an essential add-on. All the original and additional parts nicely fit into the FMK case.

Solid Drone, but Lag Makes Still Photography Difficult

By Kevin

Coming from a Phantom 4 Pro and an Autel Evo II, the Mini 3 Pro has a number of huge advantages over either of my previous drones. Small, incredibly quiet, super easy to launch and land, longer flying times, etc. However, there is a lag in the video feed between the drone and the controller, causing still photographs of anything moving to be rather difficult. I did extensive testing, shooting automobiles broadside going 70 mph at a sign post. If I look at the controller screen, the car is about 3 1/2 car lengths past the sign post in the image. If I didn't look at the controller, but fired the image when the car was even with the post, the image had the front of the car within a few feet of the sign post. So essentially, the photo fired instantly. I primarily photograph trains, and they're usually moving. I've had numerous images where the front of the train is cut off because the lag caused the image to be recorded too late. The Autel Evo II was far worse, with a lag between 1 and 3 seconds. The Phantom 4 Pro has no lag at all, and neither do a friend's Mavics, so this is a new phenomenon with the Mini 3 Pro. The end result is that if I'm shooting moving trains, I use the Phantom 4 Pro. For stopped or very slow moving trains I use the Mini 3 Pro.

Great For Scouting!

I fly an inspire 2 for my aerial work. Lately having to go on scouting trips across the country it's nice to travel lighter when just scouting. Enter the DJI Mini 3 Pro! It's a perfect little scouting drone with a very small footprint that doesn't draw near the attention that the inspire 2 does. It can capture passable 4K video and up to 48MP stills. The lens is not that sharp around the edges when viewing the 48Mp stills at 100% but is perfectly fine for video. One nice feature is the ability to shoot vertical video for social channels.

First Drone and Love it

This is the first drone I have ever owned and all ready love it. Was super easy to fly with no experience. I didn't do much research before I bought it and I just knew that DJI was one of the premier brands and it was in my price range. After I have had it and for a couple weeks I have started to explore some of the features and have done some research and was surprised to find it is a fully featured device. It has almost everything the $1-2K drones have

Exceptionally poor service

Required FAA authorization for my area of operation has failed frequently in the past leading to very intermittent operation allowance when DJI "server" has been unavailable.DJI has been unresponsive relative to dealing with the problem.

REMARKABLY EASY TO FLY

By Mary P

I've flown drones before, but none as easy as this one. It's heavy enough not to get blown around (unlike some lighter, consumer models.). AND - if you forget what you're doing, just letting go of the controls means it will hover in place. The video for panning, etc, is remarkably smooth in hover mode. I work in multimedia, and I bought this for fun, but I'm now planning to add drone pilot to my resum.
