would this system replace most wireless transmitters to the degree that one might pull focus remotely?
Asked by: Abel
The Atomos SHOGUN CONNECT 7" is not a wireless display. It must be connected to the camera you work with via HDMI or SDI cables. The Atomos connect Live streams and sends content wirelessly via WIFI signals. The latency of the stream would be to high to use for critical focus.

Does this monitor have the ability to replace zero latency transmitters for wireless focus and such?
Asked by: Abel
No, the Atomos SHOGUN CONNECT 7" Network-Connected HDR Video Monitor & Recorder 8Kp30/4Kp120 is not a wireless video transmitter/receiver, it uses wireless transmitting to send the video feed from a wired camera connection to the internet for live streaming and camera to cloud work flows.

From a bit of research, AirGlu technology from Timecode Systems allows for wireless genlock. I'm really hoping this is true and implemented into the Shogun Connect. I have the UltraSync One, and having this ability would be a game changer for multiple cameras. Can someone confirm if there is indeed wireless genlock or not?
Asked by: David
Pretty sure it's just timecode. The atomos has no control over the camera it just records what the camera sends it. The sensor on the camera is what has to be genlocked I believe.

Weird question but how Would this connect to a Leica M11 ?
Asked by: risa
No, The Atomos Shogun Connect would not support the Leica M11. The camera that you work with would need to be one of the following camera models with HDMI or SDI output ports. Shogun connect tested and supported camera list - https://bit.ly/3AJHzZE
