Powerful live event HD switching, supporting up to 10 individual 3G/HD-SDI inputs built into a 1 RU chassis, is at hand with the Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher. Supporting 3G-SDI and HD-SDI signals, the switcher connects to a wide range of cameras and sources, delivering program output via six 3G-SDI BNC outputs or a webcam output via USB-C. In addition, the switcher has a multiview output with up to 16 routable windows that can display inputs, keyed video, graphics, and stills from the media pool, as well as the program output. Each input connects to a built-in Fairlight audio mixer supporting up to 28 channels of audio.

What are the difference between the Constellation and the Atem Mini? What would you recommend I add to the Constellation to record externally on ssd (via USB3)?
The New Atem Constellation models do support USB live streaming that could be recorded by the computer you are connected to. However the recommended solutions that work with SSD's would be the following Hyperdeck models. Hyperdeck HD Studio plus can use memory cards or SSD's for recording BH #BLHDSHDPLUS or Hyperdeck Studio 4k which uses bare desktop SSD internal drives BH #BLHDS4KPRO

Can I send vmix out to 4 different TV's from this unit? Also where can I get rack mounts for this unit?
Yes, If your Vmix setup has HDMI or SDI output you could use the 6 SDI AUX outputs to send the switchers output to different displays.

Can an older ATEM switching panel be used to control switching on this new Constellation unit? Obviously, it would not have access to newer features, but could it be used to physically switch the inputs?
The older ATEM Broadcast panels do not yet support the new ATEM Constllation HD models. This may change but do not expect it to.

The Blackmagic Design ATEM Streaming Bridge for ATEM Mini Pro Streaming Switchers is only for BMD ATEM Mini Pro switchers and cannot work with the Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher (1 RU).

Has anyone demonstrated if this pass VANC 708 closed captions in HD-SDI 3G material? The Earlier ATEM would not.
The Blackmagic Design ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher (1 RU) will not carry any closed captions information.

Cna the 6 outputs be configurable to send that signal to a vmix to have a replay for those 6 outputs ?
If you are trying to send the 6 output signals to VMix, you can. You can configure each output to program and send them into Vmix and switch the video sources in Vmix. You would still need to send those 6 outputs to a capture device for VMix to read.
