Lacie d2 vs Lacie Professional, which one is better?

Both drives offer similar performance, the only difference will be in connectivity. The LASTFY100004 offers both Thunderbolt 3 and USB Type C while the LASTHA100008 only offers USB Type C. If you have a lot of thunderbolt 3 peripherals, the LASTFY100004 is a better option since it will allow you to daisy chain.

The drive uses a 60w power supply. At 110v that is about 0.6 amps.

Will this work in a daisy chain of thunderbolt 2 devices? Obviously would need the adapter on both I/O's, but just curious if that would work.

The d2 Thunderbolt 3 will work with the Apple Thunderbolt 2 to Thunderbolt 3 adapter. Apple compatibility requires minimum OS X ver 10.11 or higher and then add the d2 to the end of the chain. Regards
