For small studios that require two-camera coverage, the JVC GY-HC500 Slim Dual-Camera Studio Package is assembled by B&H to provide you with a simple solution for in-studio shoots. The two included HC500 camcorders feature a 1" sensor and capture UHD 4K video. They can be controlled remotely over LAN by the included CONNECTED CAM remote controller, great for when the camcorders are locked off. However, two remote lens controllers are also included, and connecting the zoom controllers directly to the camcorders allows your camera operators to have local control. An included GPIO box enables you to trigger a variety of devices. Simply connect the camcorders, CONNECTED CAM remote, and GPIO box to an optional PoE Network switch or router with at least four empty ports to enjoy the power and flexibility of the system.
JVC's GY-HC500U Handheld Connected Cam 1" 4K Professional Camcorder is a UHD 4K camcorder that shoots in both NTSC and PAL compatible frame rates and is designed to seamlessly work with both a traditional as well as IP workflows. It features a 1" CMOS sensor and an integrated 20x optical zoom lens, while the camera can create a 40x digital zoom. The camera can capture in UHD, HD, SD, and you can record SD as proxy, recording up to 30p to the built-in media card slots or 60/50p to an optional SSD. The camera supports HDR by recording in HLG or JLog1 (10-bit).
The camera captures in various flavors of ProRes as well as MP4, and it is capable of streaming HD over IP via wired connection. The integrated 20x zoom lens features three manual control rings for iris, focus, and zoom. The EVF features LCOS technology and over 1.2 million dots of resolution, while the built-in flip-out LCD viewfinder is just under 4" diagonally. The camera can live stream HD while recording 4K and outputting 4K via the HDMI output. It features IFB and return video over IP as well as auto FTP so your video files transfer automatically. It has 2 x SDHC/SDXC card slots and features a slot for an optional SSD for capturing UHD at 60/50p.

Remotely control all the features of CONNECTED CAM GY-HC500 and GY-HC900 video cameras over an IP network using this RM-LP250M IP Camera Remote Controller from JVC. The controller allows you to control three cameras, and it features a dial control wheel, multiple encoders, zoom, focus, and iris control of your camera wherever it is on your LAN. The industry-standard size controller measures 4" wide and supports PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) on a supported network, so it cuts down on wiring.
The controller connects and powers over its RJ45 port, and it can be upgraded using a USB port. Its OLED screen allows you to view all the settings and allows you to navigate through the menus. Additional controls include gain, master black, autoexposure, white balance, GPI preview, shutter, tally, detail, and character output mix.
The JVC Remote Lens Control for GY-HM600 & GY-HM650 Cameras plugs into the 2.5mm LANC connector on the camera and remotely operates zoom, focus, the iris, and record start/stop. This controller is ideal for when the camera is mounted on a tripod, jib, crane, or boom. (An optional 2.5mm extension cable is required when using a jib, crane, or boom.)
- A: auto focus toggle
- DATA: toggles on-screen display
- F-: iris open
- F+: iris close
- ON: auto iris toggle
- R: record (a red LED illuminates during recording)
- FOCUS: focus rocker
- Zoom is achieved via a wide sweep variable rocker control
With the ETH-GPI Link GPIO Controller with GPI Connector from SKAARHOJ, setting up I/O devices has never been this flexible. Connect and control anything from your tally lamps, trigger ATEM switcher routines, control a HyperDeck, change scopes on a SmartScope Duo, and route inputs/outputs on a VideoHub with this device. Defining single or multiple parameters for inputs/outputs is extremely fast, thanks to the drop-down menu structure in UniSketch OS. Connect and control up to eight devices at the same time.
The general-purpose I/O controllers offer 8/16 inputs and 8/16 outputs, all electrically separated with quality relays and optocouplers. GPO is implemented with relays shorting to GND. GPI is implemented with optical isolators shorted to GND.
- One DB-25 connector configuration
- Eight GP outputs, eight GP inputs
- PoE support
- Connect NewTek TriCaster and Blackmagic ATEM switchers
- RCP touchdown function
- Routing control for Panasonic AW-RP50/AW-RP120 via GPI, and for AW-RP120/AW-RP150 via IP
