This X-Pro Square ND8 Filter from K&F Concept is made for the X-Pro Square Filter Holder System. This 100 x 100mm filter reduces exposures by 3 stops, making it possible to increase shutter speed length or lens aperture. Increasing shutter speed helps to create increased image motion blur, like when smoothing rivers, waterfalls, and clouds when shooting landscapes. Increasing aperture allows wider apertures to be used for finer control over depth-of-field, to help isolate a subject form the background.
Made of high-quality optical glass, it features 28 layers of multicoating for optimal light transmission without adding any color cast. The coating also protects the filter from water, oil, minor scratches, and abrasions. It features a protective frame with large tabs that make it easy to install and remove from the X-Pro filter holder system.
