WD Internal HDD Reviews
I have 10 of these. 0 DOA. They just chug along and do what they are suppose to do all day and all night. Highly recommended!
A good first few days - quiet and at rated speeds.
Working well with thunderbolt 3/4 enclosures R/W speeds at 260/265 More quiet at starts and sustained IO vs. 20TB Seagate Ironwolf NAS
reliable HD with lots of space for storage
Excellent HD with large capacity for storage or to be used in servers or NAS devices. I have been using several of previous 18 and 16 TB versions, never had any failure.
great when they work
B&H customer service was spot on replacing the DOA (1 of 2) unit. Performance in an AMD/Asus-MB based RAID1 scenario has been good so far.
This is originally Hitachi brand
This is originally Hitachi brand. I was expecting Western Digital hard drives.
Failed after 5 months
After 5 months of use on a UPS, drive unmounted unexpectedly and would not remount Changed enclosures, ports with no success.
I've been running up to 12 of these 14TB drives for up to 3 years, storing and working on large files (I'm a photographer). No problems so far. They run cool enough for my enclosures, and quiet enough for phone conversations 2 feet from the drive array.
Shipped Quick to Canada
Really appreciate the international shipping & duty handling on this order. More affordable than buying one here for some reason. Can't really rate a HDD right away, but it arrived undamaged & seems to run fine. 3rd Ultrastar to replace an older failed Seagate.
